I need a cleaner that will neutralize the urine on hard floors as well as on leather couches, etc. What is the most effective way to clean these areas in a way that will get rid of the smell completely? I've heard enzymatic cleaners are good, but which one do I use?
I highly recommend Nature's Miracle. They have the original formula which can be used on a variety of surfaces, as well as more specific formulas for different needs, such as hardwood, cat urine, marking, etc.
Clean it as best you can with a towel. Apply Nature's Miracle and let it sit for five minutes. Then dry up the Nature's Miracle. For stubborn stains and odors, you can let the Nature's Miracle sit for up to an hour.
Also vinegar then baking soda is natural way. Everyone swears by Natures Miracle but it is very expensive (15 for spray bottle?) Just make sure whatever cleaner you use doesn't have ammonia in it cuz same ingredient as in urine!
Hmm. I read that Ammonia is one of the best carpet cleaners used by building contractors when it comes to carpets because it prevents mold from growing on the padding underneath.
Definitely Natures Miracle if you can afford it. If not, a combination of vinegar and baking soda washed away with warm water should do the trick in a pinch.
I love love love and therefore always recommend Natures Miracle. It works amazing getting not only smell and stains out, but to completely remove any trace of potty issues from your surfaces so that your pup can't smell them and try to use the same spot again. Not only that, but it is safe to all surfaces and especially to your pets and family!
I got the Nature's Miracle and it works AMAZING. I accidentally got the cat one and when I went to take it back the lady told me its better than the dog one for pungent smelling urine. It really does work well!
I have found that the Nature's Miracle regular version seems to work well in all instances I have encountered. Cat pee can be especially tenacious. I had a cat pee on my cork yoga blocks. After 3 applications of the NM the smell was gone!
