Hello! I am wanting to know what the background check Rover does includes and looks for?
And, am i able to see the results of a background check of a pet sitter?
What if a sitter agrees to a background check and they have a record to some extent..... do they get rejected or somthing?
The background check is a criminal background check like an employer would do of an applicant prior to hire. You can't see the results, but a Rover sitter who has passed the check will have a badge indicating that on their profile (a check mark in a blue shield). As I understand it, if a sitter fails the background check, they are removed from the site.
Your understand is wrong. They only check for address, phone and possibly social security number verification. Upon finding items missing after a stay, I did a simple google search on the sitter and found things I wished I had known prior to booking. I tried to make it known on the cite, but "Support and Trust" teams rejected my comments. They don't wan't anything bad said, only good,, be careful.
I don't believe so. I know it's an option the company offers, but it seems to be only on their more expensive checks.

No worries. When I did the check they went through a different company, but I don't imagine it's looking at things like tickets or accidents, provided they're resolved. I've had both in the last few years, but passed the check just fine.
Naw, it was only one option for like $6.95 or something. Since it was a different company, I can't guarantee it is looking for the same thing now, but they're really only concerned with things that impact your employability.
