Have you purchased any marketing materials from the Rover store? What was your favorite/most successful?

I'm considering purchasing the car magnets and perhaps some of the postcard style business cards. I was just curious what experience other sitters have had using print materials.

I have the car magnets. My daughters, who sit in the backseat, will constantly say, "People are taking pics of your magnets!" I also park near "dog areas" during busy times, such as dog stores, parks, groomers and any pet friendly area. I notice people reading my magnets all of the time.

Melanie, thank you for sharing! I just received my magnets in the mail yesterday!

Awesome Hillary! I meant to add, I now have to be super careful when driving. So I don't accidentally cut someone off...now they will know how to find me! :) hahahaha

Since I have two dogs of my own, I love the bandannas (though I agree with everyone else that the business cards are great)! My two dogs wear them anywhere we go that other dog owners are likely to be. A lot of people ask about what Rover is when they see the dogs wearing matching green bandannas, and it's gotten me several bookings!

I'm glad you asked. I was approved for http://Rover.com a few days ago. I have been a full time pet sitter for years. I've always liked business cards. They're small enough to carry in my wallet, car or on dog walks but can advertise so much with a link to a website or Rover profile. I was talking with a woman last week. I told her I was a Pet Sitter. First thing she asked was if I had a business card. I always feel professional when I hand them out. You mentioned the postcard style business cards? I saw the Postcards (landscape) 6" x 4"? Now I'm thinking about them myself, they are very eye catching. I'm going to order the business cards first.

I was able to use the coupon code for 100 free cards and shipping!

I agree, I like that the postcards have a photo of a dog on them to catch people's attention. I have the business cards already, if you are a new sitter you can get 100 for free! I believe the promo code is "FREE100" and works during the checkout process if you have completed your sitter training.

I've only bought the business cards, which I got as soon as I started with Rover. They have been a great marketing tool. Like Shannon, whenever I tell someone I take care of dogs they always want to get my information. I've gotten several new clients this year based on handing out my business cards and word of mouth. I'll stick with this because Rover is part time with me and I'm getting just the right amount of clients.

I've only purchased the regular business cards, but am considering the car magnets. I'm VERY glad I got the cards. They are very handy; I've put them up at dog parks and left them at pet stores. Just the other day I gave out a couple of them at the optometrist's. One of the employees happened to overhear me tell another employee that I was a petsitter. He practically ran over to me to ask me about availability :-D. Then the woman I was talking to chimed in saying she was also looking for a petsitter, so I handed her one as well. I really appreciate having nice cards to hand out in situations like that.

Do you leave your card on the aisles near the dog food, or will they allow you to put them at the check-out counters?
