My initial response would be no, because you are going into someone else's home and your dog might damage something (or pee on the carpet) or the dogs may not get along together. When I had a dog, I would not have wanted a sitter to bring another animal into my house because my dog was very territorial.

This is a topic that you should definitely discuss at the M&G. Some clients may be ok with it, some not. If there is a reason why you must bring your dog with you, put this in your profile so that potential clients will be aware of this up front.

That is up to the client and should be included in your Profile, so that potential clients don't waste their time interviewing you, only to find out that you want to bring another dog into their home. There are many concerns an owner would have about this, including damage to their property and problems among the dogs. Clients need to understand fully about the service you will offer and agree.

As a Rover sitter, you would need to discuss this matter with your clients and potential clients. I personally would not bring my personal pet in case of any conflict with pets or damage to any property of your clients. You client is paying for your attention with their pets and may not be happy with wanting to bring your dog. You can discuss a new rate and edit by clicking this link:

Similar to these other responses, I would also recommend not to do so. It's an additional thing to have to worry about, and the attention you put towards your own dog can detract from providing the best possible service to the client's pup.

If your dog is not a support dog, I would not bring it to a house sit without prior acceptance from the owner. Even if they say yes, I would be wary because you will be responsible if there is any complications (potty inside, fighting among dogs, etc). Remember, that is the pet sitting dogs home so they may defend it, rightfully so.
