I figure it's fair to charge for additional dogs but I'd like some feedback because this is my first time using rover. How much extra do you charge for each service if your client has more than one dog?
I charge $35 for a regular boarding stay and $25 for an additional dog. For housesitting and other services it's $5 less than my normal rate. Most kennels and boarding facilities in my area don't give discounts for multiple dogs from the same family, so I figure I'm giving them a price break.
I charge $5 per additional dog. You can always poke around other sitter's profiles that are located close to you to see what they are charging so that you are charging a similar rate.
That's the best way to see what others are charging in your area. My rates are comparable with my area, within half an hour. I've noticed that 40 minutes away, at a resort town in the mountains, rates are often times double.
I charge $36 for boarding, $24 for daycare and $12 for walks/drop-in visits.
I've only had 2 dogs from the same family for walks/drop-in visits but for all my services the 2nd dog is always half price.
I charge $12 per visit for first dog, and $10 per visit for each additional dog. Rates are same for dog walking. I do only drop in visits and dog walking. In my area, I think I'm the only drop in sitter who specifies a rate for additional dogs. Multiple dog situations can get complicated and I feel my charges are warranted. I have several dog/cat families, so I discount the cat if I'm there anyway for dogs. For cat only households I charge my full rate of $10 per visit for the first cat, since that's the only reason I'm going there.

Open APP and Click ‘Triple Line Icon’ upper left and Select ‘Find a Sitter’ Find and click on your own profile and click ‘Pencil Icon’ upper right Click ‘Rates’ For each service, you offer, click the blue set of words ‘Additional Rates’ Here you will see areas to enter your desired rates you wish to offer Click ‘Save’ at the bottom
If you are new, I would set your rates close or competitively depending on your experience.
I personally charge $25 per night and $22 additional and I am the best in the area at this time
For boarding and daycare, I charge 1.5x my daily rate. I.e. $35/night for one dog = $52.50
After over 1 year I finally got my first booking for Christmas coming up. My client has 2 dogs. My additional dog rate is $2 since I only take small and medium-sized dogs.
