Rover takes 25%, although it isn't clear if that rate applies to repeat customers or only first-time ones.

When I signed up, they said only the first booking would subtract.

Link to http://rover.com/go (rover.com/go) only takes you to a 'become a sitter' page. It doesn't appear to have any description of what Rover Go is. I am a regular Rover member, and wonder what Rover Go is.

Great question! I'll provide a little more information about RoverGO, which you can join by going to https://www.rover.com/go/ or emailing the team at rovergo@rover.com

You can also call anytime at [Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team] and the team will go over the benefits and process of RoverGO in more depth!

RoverGO is free to sign-up - the only difference is that you keep 5% less of your earnings. For example, regular sitters keep 80% of their earnings on the site and GO sitters keep 75% of their earnings. This will be for every request you accept from the moment you are sent live as a RoverGO sitter.

But overall, sitters with GO have the opportunity to earn $100+ more each month, have about 20% more conversations with dog owners, and get 10-15% more bookings than a regular sitter.

The short answer is that I don't believe it costs anything up front, but Rover takes a bigger chunk of any booking made through RoverGo.

Here is a lengthy description of the service: https://www.rover.com/go/
