WHY IS MY RATE ON NEW REQUESTS DIFFERENT THAN WHAT I INDICATED?

How long is a 'normal' stay ? At what point is a stay considered extended? When establishing your rates for extended stays, how is that done? I don't understand the 'fill in the blank' days X rate. What exactly is the number of days indicating?

This first link explain how much time is covered. (Dog Boarding and House Sitting are both per night, up to 24 hours; Dog Walking and Drop-In Visits are per 30-minute visit; Doggy Day Care is per day about 9 hours),https://support.rover.com/hc/en-us/ar...

This next link is about extending a stay, to add extra time or days to a service. It details how to extend beginning & end. https://support.rover.com/hc/en-us/ar...

Thanks so much! I understand now.

I oftentimes find clients look to book and seek what I call an Extended pick up time. Which is anything over the 24 hour per day period, but less than an additional night. For example a 10am drop off and a 6pm pick up. I ask that they pay the same prorated amount as doggy daycare for the 6 hours.

Sandy,

If you are asking about a rate for extended stays in your rate table, you determine when a customer's request qualifies as an extended stay, which would have a different nightly charge than your basic one. In the box, you put in how many days would be necessary to qualify and then you put your discounted rate for longer stays. For example, if you put a 7 in the box, then stays of 7 days or longer would be considered "extended" and charged at whatever rate you assigned to longer stays. You are the one who decides whether you even want to have that rate. I do not, primarily because I only board one or two dogs at a time,

From your rate table, the information you entered means that you don't discount for extended stays., Which is fine, but you didn't need to fill out anything to achieve the same result. Leaving it blank means you don't offer it.

Is that what you were asking about?
