Matching costumes can be a controversial topic, but not when it comes to dog and owner Halloween costumes. Live your best life! Get out there and have some fun and match your dog this Halloween.
First, you might want to consider how costume-friendly your dog is, and plan accordingly. If your dog only wants to wear a Halloween collar or bandana, no big deal. You can make that work. But if your dog is up for some real costume wear? Get ready.
1. Velociraptor and Jeff Goldblum

Get your Jurassic Park on with this easy costume. All you’ll need is a dino costume for the dog and a [easyazon_link identifier=”B00SKX20UC” locale=”US” tag=”rove05-20″]black shirt[/easyazon_link] for you. Extra points if you can do The Laugh.
2. King Kong and the Chrysler Building

Get ready to DIY! Gorilla costumes are easy to come by, but the Chrysler Building? Not so much. Luckily, the folk over at Inhabitat figured out how to make it happen.
You’ll need to tweak it a little bit for your dog—a couple of strips of elastic ought to do it.
3. Daenarys and Dragons
Dress? [easyazon_link identifier=”B011I850X4″ locale=”US” tag=”rove05-20″]Check[/easyazon_link]. Wig? [easyazon_link identifier=”B075QC39Y2″ locale=”US” tag=”rove05-20″]Check[/easyazon_link]. Dragons?

Check.
This would be best with three dogs (or *SPOILER ALERT* two)
4. Flower and Bee

Cute, easy, and you’ll never once have to explain this cute dog and owner Halloween costume.
5. Coffee and Doughnut
It’s classic. It’s easy to understand. It’s slightly awkward for you to dress up as a donut, but hey, you’ll be warm!
You could just dress your dog like this…
…or commit to the theme and dress like a giant doughnut!
You can buy a latte costume for your dog, or go even simpler with a coffee cup dog toy and just make sure they’re holding it when you pose.
6. Soy Sauce and Sushi
If you’re crafty, you can make this soy sauce costume yourself by using felt along with your sewing and painting skills. You can find a tutorial here. OR, you can go very, very simple with this soy sauce T-shirt. Either way, you can buy the dog’s sushi costume in sizes up to XXL!
7. Wayne and Garth
The ’90s classic Wayne’s World never dies. The nice thing about this duo is that it’s pretty easy to put together. Grab a themed trucker’s hat, a flannel shirt, and a wig—plus some ripped denim for you or your dog. You can decide who gets to be Wayne and who gets to be Garth!
8. You and Your Dog
You dress like your dog and your dog dresses like you!

There are loads of dog clothes out there these days so you’re guaranteed to find something for your dog that looks like it was pulled from your very own wardrobe.

9. Beauty and The Beast
It’s easy to see why Disney films serve as great inspiration for costume ideas. If you have a Dalmatian, dressing as Cruella de Vil is an obvious but fantastic choice. Or maybe you feel like going as Alice from Alice in Wonderland? Just stick a pair of rabbit ears on your dog. Or how about Beauty and the Beast? Just look at the impressive duo below.
We can’t wait to see what dog people come up with this year.
