Does this look familiar to you?
What’s a FRAP, exactly? It’s a frenetic random activity period—and if you’ve ever been around a puppy, it probably sounds familiar. FRAPs are also commonly known as the zoomies, zooms, or puppy crazies. They describe the short, exuberant bursts of running and play that seem to take over our dogs sometimes. It’s like all their energy is suddenly on display, just itching to get out of their systems.
Sometimes it’s after a bath or a walk, and other times it’s just pent-up energy from a long rainy day at home. Whatever the cause, five good minutes of frapping seems to joyfully clear the air for a dog, allowing them to settle and relax.
Still not sure if your dog fraps? Check out these videos of zoomie dogs for some classic examples.
