Sitters on Rover Provide Loving Care Clients Can Count On
With something as precious as a pet, pet parents count on their sitter to be reliable. Establishing a foundation of trust is necessary for any successful booking on Rover, and there are many sitters going above and beyond to show clients they are fully committed to the best possible experience.
Sitter on Rover, Eduardo, has over 380 5-star reviews—many of which describe his innate ability to make their pet feel like part of the family.
One review in particular spoke to us: “Eduardo has been taking care of our dog, Prince, for a few years now and we cannot recommend him enough! We never worry about Prince when he is with Eduardo, he treats Prince like family, and we can tell Prince adores Eduardo. Eduardo is a true dog lover. Thank you for the amazing care you have given to our Prince!”
Compassionate sitters often show up in a familial way for their clients. Madison provides services on Rover in Chicago and told us spending time with her clients’ pets is like getting to be the “cool aunt.”
“I get to do all their favorite activities with them, and in turn, they are of course always so excited to spend time with me,” she said. “The tired smiles from a pet at the end of a visit are my favorite.”
Madison recently jumped in to help some of her clients in need. The couple were in the hospital, about to have a baby, and asked Madison to check in on their dog, Juno. She trekked through the snow to their house several times that weekend, met by an excited Juno ready to play.
“Her parents sent me a photo of their new baby, and they were so grateful,” Madison said. “It was so heartwarming to know I could help.”
Showing up for others in times of need is a mainstay between sitters on Rover and their clients. It comes in all forms, and may even mean throwing a dog birthday party.
North Carolina-based sitter, Angelica, recently watched dogs Stormy and CJ while their dog mom went to support her husband, who was about to deploy. The client mentioned she was bummed to miss Stormy’s birthday, and Angelica took it upon herself to make the day special, picking up ice cream and party hats.
“I knew she was already stressed about her husband leaving and didn’t want her to worry that her babies weren’t getting the same love they would if she were home,” Angelica said. “Puppies in party hats eating ice cream are the cutest.”
Sitter on Rover, Mollie, grew up celebrating their family pets’ birthdays and clearly agrees—during a recent stay, they gifted Tuukka, a favorite repeat pet, a stuffed cupcake and a dog bone from a local bakery.
Tuukka’s owner was delighted and said, “You will not find a better dog walker than Mollie! She is so dedicated to her work and really loves what she is doing.”
All four sitters show tremendous care toward their clients’ pets, a level of service these pet parents rely on and celebrate.
