As we look back over the year, we’re rounding up some of our favorite dog stories—and this one ranked high! Freya has spent all 6 years of her life at the Freshfields Animal Rescue in Liverpool. Recently, ‘Good Morning Britain’ came out to the shelter to interview Freya’s caretaker, with hopes of finding her a loving forever home.
Freya, who has epilepsy, was known as the loneliest dog in Britain because she’d been rejected by an estimated 18,000 possible adopters.
The TV coverage led to multiple news articles and social media interest in this beautiful girl’s story.
This included famous film director Michael Bay, who was moved to offer Freya a role in Transformers 5, set to start filming in England this summer.
Bay further told Freshfields that he will offer Freya a forever home in Los Angeles with his two Bull mastiffs, Bonecrusher and Rebel, if she still has no offers after her movie debut.
