Hey there Rover-ites!
We are starting off another great workweek here at the Rover offices. Even though the weather is a bit damp around here, our spirits could not be higher. The Rover Team had a blast last Sunday at the 9th Annual Walk for the Animals at the University Village FidoFEST. It was so encouraging to see so many dog owners and dog sitters out raising money for the Seattle Humane Society. Over $145,000 was raised during Sunday’s events, so we would like to congratulate and thank all the Rover-ites who participated. And if you couldn’t make it to the Walk for the Animals or still want to make a donation, don’t worry – there is still time! Just go to seattlehumane.org/walk to make a donation online.
As event sponsors, the Rover team ran a booth during FidoFEST to spread the word to more Seattle dog sitters and dog owners about our exciting new company. We had a free photo booth set up to take pictures of dogs and their owners (thanks Luis for all your hard work!). If you want a digital copy of your photo make sure to check back to our Facebook page later this week. And remember, these photos make great Rover profile pictures for a dog sitter or owners! We also had a prize wheel constantly spinning at our booth that folks had a great time with. There were toys for your four legged friend, doggie treats, and even Rover T-shirts. However, it seemed that our most popular prizes by far were still the “People Treat[s]” of candy bars and fruit snacks. A bit of an ironic surprise for a pet fest right!? From all of us here at Rover thanks for the fun and hope to see you at another pet event soon.
