Rescued Dog Lost a Leg, So Family Draws Him a New One Every Day

Bradley may be short a front leg, but he’s got something to show for it—a hilarious cartoon arm. When Marianne and Charley Desrochers adopted Bradley, they knew he was scheduled to lose a non-functional leg. What they didn’t know was how much they’d enjoy drawing Bradley a new leg every day on Instagram.

The pup had a rough time on the streets of LA, and a run-in with a car ended in a broken front leg that never healed properly. When Bradley made it to the shelter, the vets and caretakers decided he’d be better off without the limb, which was suffering bone loss.

Bradley settled in quickly with his new family and recovered nicely from his surgery. Charley and Marianne loved using a Mickey Mouse cartoon voice for Bradley (dog lovers, you know how it is), which gave Charley the inspiration to draw a cartoon arm to match.
