Pizza delivery guy Steven Donovan was on his way to a drop-off when he spotted a black dog darting across a busy street. Donovan chose to stop his car to try and help the dog, despite the ticking pizza clock in the back of his mind. He just knew it was the right thing to do. The dog, Mr. Snickers, turned out to be miles from the address written on his tag.
Mr. Snickers
Mr. Snickers enjoyed the car ride very much, and did his best to avoid being tempted by the pizza smells in the front seat. Donovan let the customers know why he was running a little late, and they approved of his mission.
As they got closer to Mr. Snickers’ address, the little dog got more and more excited, wagging his tail and hopping from window to window as he recognized the familiar landmarks.
Unfortunately, when they reached the address listed on Mr. Snickers’ tag, it was discovered that Mr. Snickers’ family had moved, which explained how the dog had gotten so lost.
Luckily, the neighbors were still in touch with the family and agreed to hang on to the dog until they could pick him up.
“I wouldn’t mind getting fired over this,” Donovan said. “I mean, it’s a dog running in the street. I had to help him.”
Thank you, Steven Donovan, for helping Mr. Snickers, and for your policy of looking out for stray dogs. We appreciate your dedication to dog welfare.
