Hey Rovers! This Saturday, September 10, we will be sponsoring the PAWS walk at Magnuson Park to benefit one of our favorite pooch organizations. This fantastic (and warm!) event will feature a 5K walk for you and your pooch through the park, a canine agility course, a FlyBall demonstration, and, of course, tons of free samples for you and your pooch. There will also be a special KidZone to make sure that the whole family stays happy! In addition to these fun events, from 8am – 1pm, we will also have the Rover booth going, complete with snacks, give-aways and big smiles. We hope that you will come to the park and say hi!
The PAWS walk is the 20th annual celebration and fundraising event for The Progressive Animal Welfare Society (PAWS). PAWS was founded in 1967 in an effort to be a champion for animals everywhere. The organization works to rehabilitate orphaned and/or injured wildlife, shelter and find families for homeless dogs and cats, and educate the community on the rights and wellbeing of animals. Every year, hundreds and thousands of volunteers pitch in to fund and support the work that PAWS does. The Rover team and community of great dogs and great dog sitters are very excited to be doing our part this year!
We hear that it is supposed to be a balmy 80 degrees tomorrow (!) so we hope that you and your pooch will come down to Magnuson to support this great cause, have some fun, and cool off in the inviting swimming areas (one for pooches and one for people!) As always, this will be a great opportunity for all potential Seattle dog sitters and Seattle dog boarders to meet and greet with Rover pooches in a fun outdoor setting. Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!
