Many stories have shown the power of service dogs to improve our lives, from the poignant memoir Dog Medicine to the work of groups like Canine Companions for Independence. And as if we needed more proof of service dogs’ awesomeness, these photos came along.
Levi Knach is an officer for Indiana’s Department of Natural Resources, and he recently sat down with his canine partner Kenobi to pose for an official portrait. It took a few tries to get it right. The incredibly adorable photos have made a splash on social media since the DNR posted them to their official Facebook page.
Check them out below, as Knach tries his best to keep a straight face while Kenobi gives him plenty of kisses.
