Neighbors Exchange Love Letters with Very Good Dog and Become Instant Best Friends

For Dog People

When Stevie Ticks, the good-est girl in the UK, was rescued from a cage in Cyprus, she had no idea she’d become the talk of the town, let alone go viral around the world for charming her next-door neighbors.

This fun-loving ball-catching, treat-eating sheprador (Labrador and German shepherd mix) caught the eye of four new housemates on her block. Stevie’s sweet demeanor and playful attitude inspired Jack McCrossan and his roommates to write the cutest love note ever.

Dubbing themselves “the boys from 23,” the four engineers ( a lovely self-proclaimed diversified group including an Englishman, two Scots, and a Welshman) fell head over paws when they spotted Stevie Ticks looking at them through their window.

The boys wrote to Stevie Ticks’ owners asking if they could take the adorable pooch for walks and even do some pet sitting — anything to brighten their dog-deprived days.

They Wrote Her a Letter

Been saying we’d love a dog about the house but our landlord doesn’t allow pets, so my housemate posted a letter to our neighbours asking if we could walk their dog every once and a while and the response was better than we could have ever hoped for pic.twitter.com/dcMOfPk5UH

The letter expressed how they all grew up with animals and that a life without them was unbearable. Their obstacle was a landlord who didn’t allow dogs. Their solution: become a part of Stevie Ticks’ life.

Hello fans around the world! ?

It’s what happened next that makes us sigh because Stevie Ticks responded in kind. Her response showed she’s a good sport with a doggone sense of humor. She wrote that she genuinely was the best-est girl but that her friendship came at a price — 5 ball throws a day and belly rubs on demand.

Sold!

Thankfully, Stevie Ticks understood the plight of the dog-less and was ready to meet the boys from 23 in an all-out pup-date.

The friendship was sealed as Stevie Ticks gave the boys a high rating after some good scratches and lots of snacks. Then there was a photo op like no other. We’re swooning!
