How many border collies does it take to break a world record? Apparently, 576 will do the trick. That’s how many border collies gathered together on Sunday in Australia to break the unofficial record set in 2013 for the most border collies in one place.
What could be better than a field of nearly 600 border collies? They’ve got it all: smarts, beauty, and serious floof. In fact, border collie Chaser is one of the smartest dogs the world has ever known.
The Guinness Book of World Records doesn’t actually keep track of breed-specific gatherings, so the record is going to stay unofficial, but who cares? Because JUST LOOK at these dogs!
These very good dogs and their owners raised over $6000 for charity, too. Kudos to Border Collie Owners of South Australia, who put on the event.
