When Steph first met Buddy, the 10-year-old Chihuahua mix could barely waddle across the room without losing breath. Buddy wasn’t much for playtime, and his 90-year-old owner hadn’t been able to walk him for some time.
Steph volunteered to walk the little guy every day, and at first, he was resistant to the idea. He hated getting leashed up and refused to leave his owner’s side. So at first, Steph would carry Buddy a little way down the block have him walk home.
Fast forward six months later, and Buddy is eager to go for a walk and happily trots all the way around the block— he can even run!
We love a happy ending. Thanks to Steph’s help, Buddy gets the exercise he needs, but still provides love and companionship for his long-time elderly owner.
