Sitter Program Terms
Rover has partnered with local organizations to connect people leaving abusive situations with pet sitters who are willing to care for their dog or cat while they are in emergency housing (the “Program”). By participating in the Program, you volunteer your boarding services to this cause on the terms and conditions below (the “Program Terms”), which includes agreeing to accept a fixed nightly rate of $20 (even if it varies from your customary rate). This nightly rate will be covered by Rover, with no commission withheld, as part of Rover’s donation to the Program.
As with the services you list on Rover generally, your provision of pet care services through this Program is subject to Rover’s Terms of Service, available at https://www.rover.com/terms/tos (the “Rover Terms”), in addition to these Program Terms. If there are any conflicts between the Program Terms and the Rover Terms, these Program Terms shall control solely with respect to this Program.
As a participant, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Your Participation. Rover may (but is not obligated to) identify you as a pet service provider willing and able to provide boarding services to one or more dog(s) or cat(s) in the Program (the “Pets”). If you are assigned and accept a Pet, you will provide boarding and routine care for that Pet for the agreed-upon boarding period (the “Boarding Period”), as well as retrieve the Pet at the beginning of the Boarding Period and return the Pet at the end of the Boarding of Period. As described above, Rover will cover the boarding fees of $20/night (with no commission withheld) on behalf of the Pet Owner, and will provide or reimburse you for reasonable food, supplies, and veterinary care (as agreed with Rover), during the Boarding Period. The foregoing fees and reimbursements will be issued to you in one or more checks by mail. Except to the extent the Rover Guarantee applies, you will not be entitled to any other fees or reimbursements for your participation. For purposes of this Program, “Pet Owner” means the individual receiving domestic violence services and/or the third party serving as the owner of record on behalf of such individual, as context requires.
