The stork must have been a little busy the day an eagle dropped the world’s cutest dingo cub in a woman’s backyard in Australia.
After hearing the cries of an animal in distress in her backyard, a woman in Wandiligong, Victoria, Australia, rushed to find what she thought was a lost puppy.
Playtime!
After she posted the adorable puppy on Facebook, followers urged her to take him to the veterinarian for care. The doctors treated the 4 to 5-week old baby’s wounds, which looked like those left by an eagle.

Then the lucky pup, named Wandi, was given a DNA test.
Not only did the test show Wandi to be 100% dingo, but it also revealed that he’s one of the rarest subgroups—an Alpine dingo.
The camera loves Wandi!
Wandi now lives at the Dingo Discovery Sanctuary, where he will be raised with a pack of other rescue dingos like him.
Being this cute is easy
When Wandi grows up, he will become part of a unique breeding program to grow the Alpine dingo population.
Purebred dingos are becoming a rarity in the wild because of interbreeding with domestic dogs.
