We all love admiring the beautiful dogs of the Eukanuba Dog show, and as Buzzfeed showed us, so do our dogs! But this year that admiration doesn’t have to be from afar. There are more opportunities than ever for a more in-depth and interactive experience with your favorite pooches.
This week, Marketing Daily reported that for the first time, fans can get a virtual ringside view on Live.Eukanuba.com from December 13-15. From here they can also chat, share, in, post and tweet at the click of a button. People will also be able track their favorite competitions throughout weekend, while engaging with other fans.
“No other dog show has offered this interactive capability so we’re expecting a lot of buzz and a tremendous response,” commented Jason Taylor, communications director for P&G Pet Care. “This is coverage that’s never been seen before unless you are there at the show. We will now be able to take everything that makes this show unique and wonderful and essentially be able to share it.”
Enthusiasts will also have the opportunity to participate in LookShare, which is a virtual photo album accessible through the site that will be filled with pictures of the competing pups. From there they can share their favorite canines with their social media followers.
“Being on TV in the past, it’s great, don’t get me wrong,” Taylor says. “But it’s a one-direction experience. We believe doing it this way is going to present such a richer experience for the users.”
Footage of all judging will be available to embed into any social networking site which is ideal for national breed clubs, handlers, hometown communities supporting their local dogs and dog lovers alike, Taylor says.
