12 Pictures That Prove Dogs and Pigs are the Dream Pet Team

For Dog People

Have you ever dreamed of adding a pig to your pack? Surprisingly, a house pig can get along great in a family that includes dogs. However, to be on the safe side, the Pig Placement Network recommends that dogs and pigs should always be supervised together. Additionally, it’s important to understand the zoning laws in your area for livestock, because even a teacup mini-pig can grow to be anywhere from 60 to 300 pounds. Yes, that’s small compared to a 1,000 pound farmyard porker, but it’s no Chihuahua.

March 1st is National Pig Day. According to Wikipedia, the purpose of the holiday is “to accord the pig its rightful, though generally unrecognized, place as one of man’s most intellectual and domesticated animals.” To celebrate, let’s enjoy some beautiful pictures of pigs and their canine friends.
