Sponsor: Rover Q&A Answer (“Contest”) is sponsored by A Place for Rover, Inc., 2101 4th Ave., Suite 400, Seattle, WA 98121 (“Sponsor”).
Eligibility: This Contest is open only to individual, registered users of Rover.com (“Users”) who are legal residents the United States and are at least 18 years of age (or over the age of majority in their state of permanent legal residence, whichever is older). Directors, officers, and employees of Sponsor and any of each of their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, agents, professional advisors, and advertising and promotional agencies, and their immediate families and household members, are not eligible to enter the Contest or win any prizes.
Entry Period: The entry period for this Contest begins on Thursday, May 18th, 2017 at 12:00 am and ends on Friday, June 16th, 2017 at 12:00 am (all times in these Official Rules are Pacific Time) (the “Entry Period”). All entries must be received by Sponsor during the Entry Period.
How to Enter: Sign into your Rover account and go to the Q&A Community page, at https://www.rover.com/account/continue/?action=sign_in&next=/community/questions/. (If you are not a registered user of Rover.come, you can set up a free-of-charge account via this link.) Entries are automatically generated when, during the Entry Period, Users post answers to questions posted on Rover’s Q&A forum (https://www.rover.com/community/questions/) and tagged with the word “dog”. A User will earn two points every time he or she is the first to answer a question, or one point if he or she is the second, third, fourth, or fifth to answer (for example, if a User answers a question that already has two answers--including answers accumulated prior to the start of the Entry Period--the User will be awarded one point for that answer), in each case so long as the answer is responsive and useful . A User may answer as many questions as are available during the Entry Period, but only that User’s first answer to a given question will generate points. Rover may withhold, and reserves the right not to award, points for answers that do not sufficiently answer the question or are not useful. By entering this Contest or accepting any winnings from this Contest, each User certifies that he or she has complied with and accepts these Official Rules and is eligible to win, and gives her or his express permission to be contacted by the Sponsor (and third-parties directed by Sponsor) at any email address listed in her or his Rover Q&A account. Users also agree that all decisions of Sponsor in administering the Contest are within Sponsor’s sole discretion and are final.
Winner Selection: All entrants/entries are subject to verification at Sponsor’s sole discretion. After the Entry Period, representatives from Sponsor will identify the eligible Users with the first, second and third highest number of Points and inform them of their ranked status. In the event of a tie among any of the top three eligible Users or between any of the top three eligible Users and any other eligible Users (all of the foregoing, “Tied Entrants”), then, a panel of judges comprised of representatives from Sponsor’s “Sitter Outreach” team will review the Tied Entrants’ answers and select a Tied Entrant from among each group of Tied Entrants who has, on balance, in the panel’s sole discretion, provided the most responsive, useful and well-written answers, and the applicable Prize will be awarded to such selected Tied Entrant(s).
Prize winners will be notified via any email address listed in their respective Rover Q&A accounts (the “Winner Notifications”). Potential winners may be required, within three (3) days of Winner Notification being sent, to verify their email address and acknowledge receipt of their award. (In the event that a potential winner does not timely satisfy all of the above requirements, disqualification may result and an alternate winner may be selected based on the criteria listed above.)
Odds of Winning: Odds of winning depend on the quality and number of eligible Entries received. Many will enter; few will win.
Prize: Three (3) prizes will be awarded (“Prizes”), as follows: (i) the top-ranked winner will receive a $150 Visa gift card from Tango.com; (ii) the second-ranked winner will receive a $100 Visa gift card; and (iii) the third-ranked winner will receive a $50 Visa gift card. Prizes are subject to Tango’s terms and conditions applicable to Visa prepaid cards, which can be found at www.tangocard.com/virtualvisa/. Prizes returned as undeliverable or otherwise not claimed or accepted by the applicable entrant within seven days after delivery may, at Sponsor’s discretion, be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. No substitutions or exchanges (including for cash) of any prizes will be permitted, except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for any prize. All Prizes are awarded “AS IS” and WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose). All federal, state and local taxes associated with the receipt or use of any Prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

Release of Liability: Sponsor will not be responsible for late, lost, illegible, incomplete, damaged, or misdirected entries or for any technical or human error in administration of this Contest and accepts no responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage of any kind resulting from an entrant’s participation in this Contest. By entering this Contest, submitting Answers and/or accepting any winnings, you release Sponsor and its affiliates and representatives from any liability whatsoever, and waive any and all causes of action, related to any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with this Contest or delivery, mis-delivery, acceptance, possession, use of or inability to use a prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses, and damages related to personal injuries, death, and damage to or destruction of property, whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), or warranty, or any other theory.
Additional Terms and Conditions: This Contest and these Official Rules will be governed, construed, interpreted, and enforced under the laws of the State of Washington. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and municipal laws, and is void where prohibited. Sponsor reserves the right to amend these Official Rules or to terminate this Contest. Any provision of these Official Rules deemed unenforceable will be enforced to the extent permissible, and the remainder of these Official Rules will remain in effect.
