1. Kim L.
“Kim was fantastic! Before the boarding began, Kim gave me a tour of the room my cat would be staying in. The room is a separate guest house with a large floor-to-ceiling window that I knew my cat would enjoy looking out. Kim was very communicative, kind, and sent photos and videos of my cat every day!”
2. Lily B.
“Lily was amazing! Our Cleo is very shy and she made her feel right at home. We got several daily updates with pictures and we felt a peace of mind our entire trip. When we need a sitter again, she will be our go-to! Thank you for all that you do Lily :)”
3. Manuela Diaz H.
“Could not have asked for a better dog sitter! She was so sweet, sent me multiple updates each day, and was always quick to respond to me. If I could give Manuela 10 stars out of 5, I would!”
4. Chris N.
“Chris only takes small dogs, which is a perfect fit for my pup. She is an only child and is becoming more social (while having fun) at his house. I love seeing pictures and hearing how she is doing while we're away. Thanks, Chris!”
5. Asha C.
“Asha was so great with my pup. My pup got along so well with Carlton and Asha provided so many cute pictures of my little guy. She even found a hardness for him to use and took him on a walk around the lake trail. She is super responsive and flexible as well.”
6. Susan O.
“Susan, was great! She sent lots of pictures and videos each day, was highly responsive, and had a great set up for the pup. Highly recommended!”
7. Brittany B.
“10/10 recommend. Would definitely leave Scotch with Brittany again.”
8. Brandy C.
“Brandy was amazing with Kali for the 6 days we were away. She sent updates with photos and we could tell Kali was in good hands! She even bought Kali a xmas present to open during the holidays which was so sweet of her. Would highly recommend.”
9. Assenett A.
“They are wonderful! They truly love dogs and were so very sweet to my Willie. And they sent lots of updates and photos and just took great care of my Willie! So kind and loving.”
10. Ryan U.
“Ryan provided excellent care for our dog, was attentive to her needs, and was organized and reliable. Ryan kept us updated for our dog's 4 nights and 3 days stay. It's such a comfort to know your dog is in great hands with Ryan!”
11. Madison M.
“Madison was amazing, she was very understanding and compassionate towards my complex elderly dog. I felt very comfortable trusting her with Mia’s care and would happily work with her again!”
12. Tyler E.
“Tyler was absolutely fantastic. He sent daily updates of my dog and worked his schedule around her needs. My dog isn’t too active but he took that into account during their daily walks. He sat outside and let her sunbath outside in the middle of the hottest week ever in June because it’s her favorite thing. He was reliable and VERY flexible with pickup due my flight delays. I will be using him again!”
13. Lisa B.
“Great pictures, great communication, even we’re able to schedule some play dates with a fellow yorkie. Would highly recommended again. And use again int be future!”
14. Carly S.
“Elsa had a great time with at Carly’s. I got all the updates I needed and Elsa got all the playtime and then some!!”
15. Amy T.
“This review is a little late, but I want to be sure to give a 5-star review when it's deserved! Amy previously watched 2 of my dogs for a day so they could all get to know each other. After that was a success, I left all 3 of my dogs at Amy's home for 5 days and they couldn't have been in better hands. She managed my 2 Cairn Terriers and young Aussie like a pro! They got plenty of walks and play and snuggle time with Amy. They looked very content in the pictures she sent. I have already booked my dogs' next visit at Amy's....I know they'll be with someone caring and competent while I'm out of town. FIVE STARS!!”
16. Kristen V.
“Kristen took wonderful care of our two pups! Sent us pictures during their stay, treated them like her own and answered all texts within minutes! Will definitely be taking them back to her!”
17. Paulina S.
“Wow Paulina was so great with my kitty Eli. She watched him for almost 2 weeks. Took the best care of him. Spoiled him with playing and letting him watch live kitty TV (that was a first for him) he loved it! On top of that she took some of the best photos of him. I am so thankful I found Paulina and will 100% be reaching out to her if I ever need a another sitter. She treated Eli like a king!!”
18. Ashley L.
“Ashley was fantastic from start to finish. Treated my pup like her own and was a great communicator in the process. Much appreciate her services and will definitely rebook when I travel. Highly recommend.”
19. Barbara K.
“Barbara is amazing! She is excellent at communication, super friendly, and obviously great with pups. I will definitely work with her again - I could tell my dog was stress free and had a great time.”
20. Rose V.
“Rose and her home are a great place for Paxton! Rose is attentive and kind. Paxton loved staying with her and making friends with her little chihuahua. Rose was very helpful with making sure Paxton ate his medicine daily. We can’t wait for Paxton to stay with her again the next time we are traveling. Thank you, Rose!”

Why do dog owners love Austin?
The capital of Texas, the 11th most populous city in the United States, and the home of keeping things weird, Austin is a unique and vibrant city that attracts people from all over the country. Home to the Texas State Capitol, the Bob Bullock Texas History Museum, the University of Texas at Austin, and the Darrell K Royal - Texas Memorial Stadium, it's got plenty of great landmarks to enjoy. And with tons of great parks, amazing Tex-Mex and Texas barbecue restaurants - plus over 1,000 operating food trucks - and an eclectic live music scene, Austin is a destination city not just to visit but to live in, especially for dog owners and pet parents. This city of 931,830 people regularly shows up on lists of the most dog-friendly cities in America and features great dog boarding options like Rover available throughout the city.
Why choose Rover dog boarding in Austin?
In-home dog boarding in Austin is a great option for most dog owners. With Rover, instead of going to an unknown large facility, your dog stays in the comfort of your dog sitter's home. Your dog gets to spend one-on-one time with a loving sitter who'll treat them like part of their family.
What are some great parks in Austin for dog walks?
Austin is absolutely full of great dog parks. With at least 16 parks to visit with your pup, there are acres and acres of green space and off-leash areas to explore and enjoy. Parks like the 13-acre Red Bud Isle feature a wide expanse of open area where your dog can play with other dogs and swim off leash. The park at Mills Pond, accessible from the north end of Wells Port Drive or off Bratton Lane, offers a chance to take your dog for a lovely stroll and watch the locals do some fishing in the early morning or evening. Also, be sure to check out Auditorium Shores (between the former Palmer Auditorium and the shores of Lady Bird Lake), and not just for the doggy showers after your pup takes a dip. The park is also a place for outdoor concerts, and you can even find a memorial statue of Stevie Ray Vaughan.
What Austin neighborhoods are good for dogs and pet parents?
There's so much to enjoy in Austin, including a quirky collection of neighborhoods, each with their own appeal. Take Central Austin neighborhood Hyde Park, which dates back to 1891 and is considered Austin's first suburb. You're more likely to find cute bakeries - including the Eater.com-approved Quack's 43rd St Bakery, home to massive cookies and incredible cakes - and nice neighbors than noisy bars or loud nightlife there. Same for Barton Hills, which might just be the best place in Austin to raise a dog. Bordering Lady Bird Lake, the neighborhood features Zilker Metropolitan Park and tons of lush green spaces to spend time out in nature with your pup. Barton Creek runs through the whole neighborhood, lending a feeling of always being out in nature. You can check out an authentic corner of Austin in Clarksville. West of downtown Austin, right near the always entertaining 6th Street and bordering the Johnson Creek Greenbelt, it's home to Treaty Oak, a state landmark as well as the first Whole Foods Market, originally opened in 1979 as the Clarksville Natural Grocery.
