Hi! My name is Susan Lunn and I am a university student at UMBC, studying English and History. My future life goals include being a lawyer for animal welfare cases because I LOVE animals. I have a dog and four cats at my parents house, and I foster a dog for BARCs, so I'd be happy to go to your home and watch your dogs for you! As I said, I am a college student, and I am very flexible with hours! I can stay overnight at your home or just come by and take your dog for a walk every few hours- whatever you need!
I try and help Baltimore Bully Crew (a non-profit pitbull rescue) as much as I can, and I volunteer at single events such as Vegtoberfest and other rescue events.
We always had cats my whole life until my sisters and I finally begged my father for a dog. We finally melted his will and when I was 11 (ten years ago), we got a mutt puppy from BARCs down in the city! As I grew up, I got further and further interested in animal welfare, and I've now volunteered with and/or donated to over twenty organizations! I've petsat for my friends before and I stay at my parents house to watch our family dog any excuse I get!
I currently foster a 12 year old corgi/chihuahua mix for BARCs named Pippin :)
I have no problem with big dogs or "bully" breeds- my favorite dog breeds are pitbulls (I try and help the Baltimore Bully Crew as much as possible) and huskies. I don't think any dog should be stereotyped based on breed, but I'd definitely like to know their accustomed activity level!
I have my own SUV, a Hyundai Santa Fe, that I've used to transport animals in before.
I have no problem giving your dog medication; I've helped a friend administer insulin shots to her dog before, and we give my dog oral medication twice a month that I have no problem with
I can do as many simple tasks as you need done so that you can enjoy your vacation! I've housesat before, and I've taken in mail, cleaned up after animals, watered plants, fed fish and kept a general eye on everything before.
If you have a medium activity level dog, I don't mind putting in the extra energy to keep him or her happy; however, please tell me if you have a puppy with high energy, as my schedule can sometimes be hectic.
Age: 12 years, 7 mo. old
Weight: 13 lbs.
Breed: Cardigan Welsh Corgi & Chihuahua
Pippin is my foster pup! He's actually available for adoption! He's adorable, he's sweet, and he's super energetic, to the point you'd never know he's 12! He's well behaved, friendly, and adores other dogs :)
