I'm a 31 year old professional living alone in the South End with my 10 year old Yorkie, Milo. I am a huge dog lover and often can't help myself from petting and saying hi to dogs on the street. I've spent plenty of time caring for my parent's dog, Sammie, and my sister's dog, Monster, in addition to my own.
If your dog stays with me, he'll be welcome to make my home his own. He'll get frequent walks (particularly on weekends and evenings) and lots of belly or ear rubs. I live very close to a number of parks in the South End, so your pup will have plenty of fresh air. I also have a fairly large one bedroom apartment with plenty of room for smaller dogs to run around.
Your dog is welcome to sleep where ever comfortable - in a doggie bed, my bed or elsewhere. Ultimately, I want my place to feel like your dog's home away from home!
We didn't have many pets growing up, so I really became a dog lover in college after spending a great deal of time with friends who had amazing pups. Since then, I adopted my own dog and my parents and sister followed suit. I like to think that dogs can sense how much I love them and gravitate toward me more than most.
Since I have my own dog, the most important thing is that your pup is dog friendly! I live in an apartment building and try to be mindful of neighbors. If your pup is likely to make a great deal of noise, it may not be the best fit.
Absolutely. I own a car and can use it in case of emergency.
In most cases, yes. Let's just discuss beforehand.
Admittedly, I work most weekdays but am generally home by 530 each day. I'm fully available evenings and weekends and plan to spend plenty of time with your pup during that time.
I don't, but I'm just steps from numerous parks in the South End!
Wherever he is most comfortable - in my bed, in his own bed or on the couch. Wherever he's happy!
