Ideally, we all would rather leave our fur babies with a trusted friend or family member but because that isn't always possible I feel that I provide the next best thing! Unlike a boarding facility or someone who boards multiple dogs in their home, I come to yours so you can feel more at ease knowing your baby is in familiar surroundings and under constant supervision while you're away. I have been a professional pet sitter for over eight years and the money I make from pet sitting allows me to pay my tuition and also donate a portion to help some of my favorite local animal rescue's acquire food, toys and other necessities for future fosters. I truly believe in upholding the following four principles, honestly, integrity, compassion and accountability. They are the four basic requirements I have before I myself, would ever entrust the care of my fur babies to someone else, which is why gaining your & your dogs trust during the initial visit is very important to me, so that you can feel comfortable before placing them in my care. :)
List of services I am happy to provide:
*Please make sure that your dog or cat is up to date on all required vaccinations and on current monthly flea medication.
Overnight care in your home for $50 per night (however, I do discount stays of 5 or more nights.) I don't offer any boarding nor will I book multiple clients for the same night, so your pooch will have plenty of individual pampering as well as my undivided attention the entire time!
What I include with each overnight (besides a whole lot of cuddling and kisses!)-Insurance, three (45 min) visits during the day for walking, feeding (including preparing raw meals) refilling water, changing pee pads, administering medication, bathing, brushing, bringing in your mail, watering plants, daily text and photo updates and organic dog treats. If you happen to also have a kitty in the household, I don't charge anything extra for scooping litter, feeding, petting etc. :)
One on one dog walking available (great for dogs who are under socialized, timid or elderly and do not do good in group walks) Mon-Fri between 12-2pm. This service is limited to the following area's; SOMA, Embarcadero, Inner & outer Richmond. Limited spots so please call for availability.

Eight years of experience as a reliable and responsible sitter. My clients have ranged in both size and personalities from very out going and friendly Pomeranian's to the more shy and timid Boxer with separation anxiety. I've also sat for mixed households with cats and dogs and never mind doing a few chores around the house while I'm there. In addition to pet sitting, I've been a long time volunteer with local animal rescue organizations including Solano County Friends of Animals, Wonder Cat rescue, Wonderdog rescue and most recently with Rocket dog rescue. I have also received formal shelter training while working at the SF SPCA, as a seasonal employee during the 2010 Macy's Holiday Windows adoption event.
I want others to know that I am not only knowledgeable about dogs and cats in general but have studied animal nutrition and am a promoter of feeding human grade pet food and always recommend people to check out "Dogfoodadvisor" to help them determine the best food to feed because they provide a detailed breakdown and analysis of the nutritional value of several pet food brands. I am also an advocate of reward based training as apposed to punishment. When it comes down to it, you're fur baby will always be in a safe and positive environment, where they will get showered with plenty of hugs and kisses and would be under constant supervision.
I've always been drawn to animals since I was a little girl and that eventually grew into a passion. I started out walking dogs for my friends and neighbors to earn a little cash while in school. Once I was in college, I started volanteering with animal rescue organizations where I would foster both dogs and cats. As a way to make some additional money while working a part time sales position, I responded to adds on Craigslist for pet sitters and dog walkers, including over night and extended care. In October of 2010 I was hired by the SF SPCA as a seasonal employee to do mobile outreach at the annual Macy's Holiday Windows event, where I was able to contribute to over 300 dogs and cats being adopted. I can't say that I ever felt as passionate or motivated by any other career than I have been when it comes to Animal Welfare.
*Please make sure that your dog is up to date on all vaccinations and is on a monthly flea preventative as well as non aggressive when being handled, prior to booking an overnight stay. Thanks.
I would like to know if they have been spayed or neutered and whether or not they are up to date on vaccines, have any aggression/temperament issues issues such as food guarding or toys and of course whether they are currently on a flea and tick medication. I have no breed preferences because I believe there is no such thing as a "bad" dog, although, some have the misfortune of having bad owners.
Yes, we do have a car and my husband is more than happy to assist me with transporting.
Yes, I have administered oral and topical medications previously. I prefer not to have to inject any needles, however.
Yes, of course, anything that would be of help to you while you're away. I've watered plants, taken in the mail and signed for packages in the past. I also clean litter boxes, bowls and give baths if they get dirty and sing them to sleep. :)
Given that I am currently laid off and only taking online classes at this time, I can dedicate as much time as needed. :)

Benji is a sweet and gentle teddy bear. He's acts a bit aloof at times and can be pretty hard headed when he wants his way. My husband and I got him when he was 9 wks old and have been calling him our son every since. Call us crazy, we don't care. :)
