Host opens his heart and home in Mesa.

Pet care experience

I am Peter, a Rover Premier Sitter. I have undergone advanced Rover Premier screening culminating in a face-to-face in-home interview and a home inspection. My apartment-home is near Mesa Country Club. Because I am retired, your pet will enjoy FULL-TIME attention. Also, I accept pets from only one family at a time. Having a quiet home without other pets and children assures a calm and satisfying experience. Dogs are treasured companions and part of the family; in my home they are welcome to snuggle on the sofa and sleep in my bed. But we won't just lie about because fresh air and exercise are important too. You will receive a log when your pet is picked-up. It will show when meals and medications were given; when we had time outside; when potty breaks were taken; when I needed to be away; and appropriate behavior notes. My fees for each overnight stay of up to 24 hours: $28 for a dog up to 44 lbs. and $32 for a dog 45-94 lbs. I offer discounts if you have more than one dog. Just ask for details. I have been a successful sitter many times for all sizes and for a great variety of breeds. Look at their photos at Home and Yard. Why I love dog sitting I have been caring for dogs for the last seven years---four of which were my own business in a small town setting. During those earlier years I stayed in the owners' home. Some of my pet pals have been mixed breeds, while others have been champions in show and skills. Sizes have varied from chihuahua to mastiff. Meet my pets Since there are no other pets and children in this home, your pet receives exclusive undivided attention. You will receive an activity log at the completion of your pet stay---it identifies mealtimes, potty breaks, medications/injections administered, walk durations, and appropriate notes. About my yard I do not have a back yard since I live in an apartment, but there is a pleasant and safe grassy area that is fenced just outside my door. In addition, count on your dog going for frequent walks along quiet residential streets---Watch the short videos of typical streetscapes in the neighborhood. My experience administering medication I am completely comfortable following your instructions to make sure that your pal receives his or her medication. He or she will get the proper dose at the specified time! I am fine with giving injections as long as you show me what works best with your pet. The log you receive will identify times when medication and injections were given.

Peter has a lovely apartment with a nice, safe grassy area for your dog. He is ready and very able to provide tender loving care, as well as lots of play with walks around his beautiful neighborhood!

You can ALWAYS tell when you pick up your pet if they enjoyed their "sleep over" while you were away... Our dog Pluto is very much a part of our family, and when we picked him up, he was a happy dog, we could tell he enjoyed his time with Host Peter. Sleep Over Rover is such a great concept, so well set up and so well run that afford options when needed.

What kind of physical contact is enjoyable: Belly rubs, ear scratches, head strokes, cuddling? What kinds of games are fun: Tug of war, fetch, hide and seek? A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks Your pup and I will take advantage of the grassy area in my courtyard and walk around the quiet neighborhood as well. The neighbors are pet-owners too so they enjoy my canine guests. Beyond the property, there are sidewalks to stroll along and to take in sun, sights and scents. Watch the short videos of typical streetscapes in the neighborhood. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Your buddy is welcome to sleep with me in bed or beside me on the carpeted floor! But I also understand that some dogs prefer their own bed, blanket or pillow, so please bring any or all of them along for the sleepover! Time I'll spend with your dog I am retired so I am home FULL TIME and will be available to spend tons of time with your pal, sharing companionship inside and out. You will receive a log showing how our time together was spent.
