About Paula F.:

I'm an experienced sitter who will treat your dog and other pets like a family member when you are away. Your dog will receive lots of petting, playing and walking during my visits. Pictures of your dog will be posted for you or sent via text message by request. I can provide you updates from time to time while you are on vacation as well. Special requests or additional services will be considered and may have an additional charge such as staying overnight at your home, putting out trash cans, cleaning, poop patroling your yard, and watering plants or grass. Please complete the instructions and vet information when you book the sitting service. If you have any questions, please let me know.

I provide dog sitting services in Austin limited to the following areas: North (up to 183/Mopac), Central, West (as far as Scenic Dr), East (as far as Ed Bluestein), South (toward Barton Hills) and all of Downtown.

I can provide pet care for cats, reptiles, frogs, fish, small mammals, birds and pet rocks. I love exotics too!! I will provide a discount for multiple pets for my travel service so please let me know up front how many and what type of pets you have.

Paula F.'s Experience:

I have experience with several types of dogs (large and small, old and young) and volunteer at the Austin Animal Center. I am comfortable coming to your home. Please let me know what to expect with your dog's behavior upon greeting me. If your dog has any history of aggression with new people, I'd like to come over to meet you and your dog before your trip. Leave plenty of food, treats, chew toys, collar, leash and any medication or other items that we will need for your dog. I look forward to meeting you and your pets!! I can also look after snakes, lizards, fish tanks, cats, birds, small mammals, and just about any other pet you might have. A discount will apply for multiple pets.

How long have you been a dog lover? Tell us about your history with dogs.

Dogs have been a part of my life since I was a child. I worked at a vet office in high school where I fell in love with dogs even further. I now volunteer at the Austin Animal Center.

What would you like to know about a dog before sitting him or her? Do you have any breed preferences?

Any breeds, types, and sizes of dogs are included as long as they are usually friendly with other dogs and people. Special needs dogs will be considered and special care can be provided on a case by case scenario. I will take special care with dogs who have a difficult time walking on a leash and those who are anxious. If your dog has any history of aggression, please let me know and we will schedule a time to meet prior to your trip.

Do you have reliable transportation in the event of an emergency?

Yes I do have reliable transportation and know where the closest vets are and after hours vets are located. I can handle an emergency.

Are you comfortable administering medication?

I am comfortable administering medications.

Are you willing to do additional tasks at my home while I'm away
(e.g., water plants, bring in the mail)?

Yes, additional services can be provided for a small fee depending on what you request. Mail & Newspaper pick up are included in pet sitting. Overnight stays are an additional $30/night.

How much time do you plan on spending with my dog each day?

One hour twice a day. Additional time can be requested for a small fee of $5/30 minutes.

Age: 6 years, 11 mo. old
Weight: 65 lbs.
Breed: Labrador Retriever

Duke is a yellow Lab mix. He is a rescue adopted from Austin Pets Alive. He has a gentle nature and loves to swim. Duke gets along well with other dogs of all ages and sizes. Duke can be a little timid when meeting human strangers so it is best to let him approach you or a visitor rather than reaching out for him and definitely avoid hovering him when you first meet. Once he knows you belong there, he is fine and relaxed. He is fine when meeting dogs and loves making new friends.

Just book her already! She is lovely, smart, responsible and reliable. She was great with our big German Shepherd, Ava. Updated us all the time - we always got (unprompted) pictures and details about how things were going. She really took care of things in our home too and we never worried about anything for a second while we were away. We are very new to Austin and really feel like we scored by hiring Paula. She's a gem. (Collapse)
Paula helped us out of a jam, agreeing to sit our dogs, and cats, for the first time on a day's notice! Our dogs are great but have some behavioral issues that can be challenging and Paul was understanding, patient and great with them. She sent us pictures while we were gone and put our minds at ease with updates. This is out first time having a sitter and we would definitely have Paula watch our dogs again. (Collapse)

My babies were well taken care of. Paula kept me updated all the time and sent great pictures of my dogs. I felt very comfortable having them at her home. I will not hesitate to ask for her the next time I need dog care!

Our lab mix, Daisy, had a wonderful stay with Paula. We were kept up-to-date every few days with pictures and information during our 3-week long absence. She was in very caring hands, and also enjoyed the company of Paula's dog, Duke! This is her second stay with Paula and we always know she will be happy and safe there. Although she was excited to see us, I could tell she was also sad to be leaving Paula, her husband Ronny, and Duke! (Collapse)
Paula took great care of our high-maintanence pooches for a long weekend. Will definitely book a stay with her again.
I can't say enough about how wonderful our experience was with Paula & Ronny. Everything was perfect. From the initial request to the pickup. They kept us posted with pictures & updates. Was very good with our Diva/difficult dog, Lyla. Would highly recommend them. And will definitely use them again. Thanks. Martha Hall.
Thanks, Paula

Paula is simply terrific with animals of all kinds. She is super attentive and a great trainer. Your Baby will be in heaven if he/she spends time with Paula! I've seen her with her own dog Duke and with mine, she's wonderful!

I've known Paula for several years now. She is responsible, friendly, caring and has a good heart. If you should choose to have Paula and Ronny care for your pet, you can rest assured they are in good (and loving) hands.

Hello all you four legged fuzzy lovers out there, I just wanted to say that I've know Paula and Ronny for at least 4 years. I've worked with Paula for that time and I've hung out with Paula and Ronny many time outside of work and hope to have them in my life for years to come. I've only recently meet their dog Duke. He is an awesome swimmer and I got a chance to see him in action on a kayak at Lady Bird Lake. He's a friendly and energetic dog and all three of them are fun to be around. Your pets will be in good hands with Paula, Ronny and Duke. I would trust my life to Paula and the lives of my pets as well. Paula is a paramedic by trade; sooooo,... it's appropriate to trust her with the lives around her. And, she takes her responsibilities seriously and has a big heart and a great attitude in doing so. You can rest assured when you have to step away that your fuzzies will be well taken care of with Paula, Ronny and Duke. Another four legged fuzzy lover, Kitrina (Collapse)
