Premium pooch pampering

Pet care experience

About this sitter: Hi There! I'm currently a Doctor of Physical Therapy student in the UCSF/SFSU program with a special interest in becoming an animal rehabilitation therapist. I'm passionate about mindfulness and movement and view animals as our teachers on the importance of these two M's. They are also just my favorites. Especially furry, cuddly ones that like to play catch. As a kid, I eventually convinced my dog phobic mother to allow us to adopt a dog under the agreement that I would be solely responsible for Kiara's care and she would live in the garage. Within two months, Kiara had charmed her way into my mother's heart (and the house). 12 years later, mom still sent me pictures of her baby Kiara. I think pets have an uncanny ability to win us over, and can teach us so much about living in the moment. In my 5 years of providing pet care, I've come to learn this more and more with every new animal I meet and care for. They are all such characters and I always have a blast spoiling them with affection and attention while their parents are away. I've been watching dogs for friends and family since I was 13. As an adult, I've fostered several dogs from Rocket Dog Rescue in San Francisco and have been a Rover pet sitter for 5 years. I have experience with various breeds, temperaments, and doggy health concerns. My general approach to caring for a dog or cat is to prioritize their safety and meet the expectations of their owner. So, I always like to do a meet and greet and talk with owners about details for care. That way, I can make sure to give the best pet care they deserve or let the owner know if I'm unable to meet expectations and allow them to make an informed decision. Why I love dog sitting I'm a life long canine admirer with a special knack for making dogs feel at home. I love dog sitting because spending time with animals is a fantastic form of therapy for me. They consistently remind me to be present and enjoy the moment. My experience administering medication Yes, I have no problem administering oral or topical medication and have no problem with specific diets or regiments. I have had numerous clients with medication needs including dogs with epilepsy.

Pardis was fantastic! Great to work with, quick to respond, and always right on time. From our first meet & greet, I was impressed by her ease with our pup and how she asked all the right questions, including ones I would've forgotten to cover myself! I returned home from our trip to a spotless home and a happy dog. Looking forward to having Pardis dogsit again soon!

We were so grateful to have had Pardis as a dog/house sitter during our recent trip week-long trip. It's never easy leaving our pup Miso, but from the first time we met with Pardis until the end of her stay, we were completely at ease. Communication was perfect, she took amazing care of our home, and best of all, we knew that our dog was in excellent hands. Pardis will be our first choice next time we go away. She is awesome! ❤️

Pardis was an amazing sitter! She stayed with our pup for two whole weeks over the holidays. During that time, she sent regular updates with photos and video, made sure our pup got exercise every day, and was super responsive to any questions we had. Our dog isn't great with other dogs, and Pardis knew exactly how to handle this -- she sought out private, low-traffic places to play fetch and knew how to keep our dog under control on walks. We came back to an impeccably clean apartment. We'd love to have Pardis stay with Janie again!

Pardis and Bae had a great weekend. I received a ton of cute pics and updates of their adventures. Thanks, Pardis.

Information Pardis E. would like to know about your pet

I'd like to know: - any tendencies your dog may have that I should approach in a particular way. - Do they have any fears, phobias, or triggers I should make sure to avoid? - Are they timid around other dogs or people? - Do they have a specific schedule that needs to be followed? - Do they like to mark new territories or tinkle when nervous? - Do they only do number two in the grass? The more details you can provide me about your pooch, the more attentive and customized care I can provide for them. Please let me know if your dog is NOT on flea/tick medication. This is important to know as I sometimes go on hikes and would refrain from doing so with your pup if he/she doesn't have flea/tick medication.

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks We will take long strolls around the neighborhood, typically to the closest park. I also like to drive pups to the Douglas street dog park when possible. If owner's are ok with it, I also like to go on runs with the pups. They can be awesome running partners (or not at all). Wherever we may end up, I usually take lots of pictures for real-time updates. My standard walking schedule is about 20 mins in the morning, about an hour or two mid-day/afternoon, and another 20 mins at night. If your pooch needs it, I have no problem taking them out right before bed as well. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Wherever in the house he/she desires, but preferably cuddled up in bed with me :) Time I'll spend with your dog Most week days I have about 4-5 hours of class, meaning I would be out of the house for about 6-6:30 hours. Please check in with me about this as this can sometimes vary depending on the week. On weekends and when I don't have class, I'm usually at home studying and taking cuddling breaks with pups when I have the chance. Extra house-sitting services When I am staying in someone else's home I respect it as my own and like to leave it cleaner than when I entered it. I'm happy to help out with additional small home tasks such as watering plants, brining in mail or feeding the fish.
