Description:

Traveling can be a stressful experience for both owners and pets alike, so my goal is to make pet care one less thing to worry about! Boarding your pet(s) or using professional boarding can get expensive, and non-professional sitters are sometimes unreliable or inexperienced and really don't understand a dogs' mentality. I hope to offer a compromise between the two options: affordable and competent care!

When you board someone's pet, what matters most is the level of care you give. When you put your trust into me, I will guarantee that you will get the best care available. My reviews and past stays speak for themselves. I offer outstanding service and I am totally dedicated to properly caring for your pet(s) while you are away.

My main objective is to disrupt your pet's routine as little as possible while you are away, to minimize the impact being separated from you will have on them. Long walks, feeding schedules, sleeping arrangements, playtime - you get to dictate the routine we adhere to while you're away.
I also encourage bringing over a few of your dog's favorite chew toys, squeakies, blankets, etc. to make them feel more at home.

All pets staying with me will get a Rover.com HELP4PETS ID tag with a unique serial number on it in case they bolt through the door or happen to escape, they can be returned without any problems. These special tags are registered with Rover.com and with HELP4PETS. I will be notified when your pet is found. I recommend having a tag with your contact info on it as well. If you do not supply a tag with your contact information on it, I will make one that your pet(s) will wear for the duration of their stay.

If you have an urgent evening or weekend request please include your contact information in the email, as rover.com does not provide that information to me. Thanks!

I live in a 2 story home in Vaccaro Manor with a large back yard that is kept clean and there are trees and bushes in the yard for your dogs to explore. My home is flea free and I would like to keep it that way. All pets must be on some sort of flea control.

I have a 6 foot fence around my yard with the pickets to the inside to keep climbers in and have concrete along the bottom of the fence to keep diggers from getting out. I also have a doggie playground with things for your pet(s) to play on and exercise with. I will be adding a concrete dog swimming pool that should be completed sometime in the spring. It will be drained on a regular basis and no chemicals will be added. It will be bleach scrubbed often so it will be safe for your pet to swim in.

My house sits on a quarter acre lot with a square back yard. Your pet will not be able to get out of the yard. I have dogs that enjoy having others come and visit and your dog will be able to go in and out at will. I have a dog door that all the dogs use and your pet will get plenty of attention.

I look forward to hearing from you! The more detail included in your message, the easier it will be for me to know whether I will be able to accommodate your needs.

NO UN-NEUTERED MALE DOGS OR UN-SPAYED FEMALE DOGS!!! NO AGGRESSIVE ANIMALS!

FAQ: PLEASE READ!!! Very important.
What to bring? The most important thing to bring is food, because no one likes cleaning up doggie diarrhea. :o( Additional items are up to your discretion - maybe a bed or blanket. I would discourage bringing anything where you would be really upset if it was damaged, soiled or lost. I do my best to prevent these things from happening but I am usually watching multiple dogs simultaneously and well...dogs like to get into things that don't belong to them.

Puppy rate for puppies over 6 months old:

The rate for puppies is slightly higher because they require more attention and supervision and they will chew on everything they can get their teeth on. They MUST have a kennel when you bring them. Puppy rate is $30.00 a day. If you do not have a crate (kennel) for your puppy, you will be required to rent one from me for an additional $5.00 a day. Your puppy will NOT spend a lot of time in the crate. It will only sleep in it during the night.

Medication:

I need to know if your dogs are on any medications and I would need to know dosages and the vet's phone and address. I would also like to know if your pet has been chipped or not. This is important in case your pet bolts out the door and gets lost.

Pickup and drop off:

The pick up time is the same as the drop off time. I allow an extra two hours in case of traffic or accidents, but I will have to charge an additional $15 dollars for any pet picked up more than two hours late. For example if you leave your pet with me at 8:00 AM on Saturday and want to pick it up at 8 PM on Sunday, that is 36 hours. My rate is for 24 hours only and I deserve to be paid for any time over that. But like I said previously, I allow 2 extra hours for traffic etc. Rather than be rushed to pick up your pet, you should just leave it an extra day so you can unwind from your trip.

Meet and Greet:

A meet and greet is REQUIRED before the stay and you will need to bring your dog(s) with you. Dogs that have stayed with me previously are exempted from the meet and greet because I already know their personalities. It's the only way you and I will know for sure if my home and dogs are a good fit for your pet or not.

I look forward to helping you and remember I am totally devoted to making sure your dog(s) have a wonderful time while they are staying at Grandpa Noel's house!!!

All dogs must be healthy, and current on all vaccinations. You will be required to bring a copy of your dog’s updated vaccination records from your vet before you start daycare or board with us to ensure your dog’s safety as well as that of our existing Stafford Dog Boarding dogs.

About Noel S.:

Traveling can be a stressful experience for both owners and pets alike, so my goal is to make pet care one less thing to worry about!

I will come to your home and check on your pet, feed him or her and walk with them for 30 minutes. I will clean water bowls and set out fresh water. I have a ten mile limit from my home to yours. I will check your dog twice daily (morning and evening) and report anything to you that seems out of place. I will bring mail indoors and water indoor plants if necessary.

Medication:

I need to know if your dogs are on any medications and I would need to know dosages and the vet's phone and address. I would also like to know if your pet has been chipped or not. This is important in case your pet bolts out the door and gets lost.

If you have an urgent evening or weekend request please include your contact information in the email, as Rover.com does not provide that information to me. Thanks!

How long have you been a dog lover? Tell us about your history with dogs.

I have owned dogs from the time I was 8 years old. I have owned many different breeds and I am familiar with most.

What would you like to know about a dog before sitting him or her? Do you have any breed preferences?

I do not have any breed preferences however, if your dog is aggressive towards visitors I will be unable to help you. There is too much liability for both of us. I would like to know if your dog is spayed or neutered and by what age it was fixed.

Do you have reliable transportation in the event of an emergency?

I have a vehicle available to me at all times.

Are you comfortable administering medication?

I am very comfortable administering medication.

How much time do you plan on spending with my dog each day?

I pay attention to the dogs all day long. They are either outdoors playing ball or chasing each other in the yard. During inclement weather, the dogs are kept inside and let out 6 times a day for potty breaks.

If you have a backyard, please describe it.

My house sits on a quarter acre and is fully fenced in the back yard. I have bushes around the fence for your dog to explore and squirrels in the pecan trees for your dog to chase.

Where will my dog sleep?

All dogs sleep inside at night and they sleep wherever they want to except on my bed. My sofas are covered with tarps and blankets to make a nice comfy place for your dog to sleep.

Where will you take my dog on walks? Tell me about it.

You dog will go on two walks a day. One in the morning and one in the afternoon, however your dog can go in and out of the house at will through the dog door that opens to the back yard.

This was our fist time leaving Mae with a sitter...we just adopted her in October and have been able to take her with us on our trips so far. This trip the venue did not allow dogs so we had to part with her..I didn't want her crated all day as she is an extremely social dog and has been in and out of shelters and foster homes. We choose Noel based on his profile and reviews. The meet & greet really put my mind at ease. The pack really pays attention to him. During the meet & greet we watched Noel interact with kindness and humor when one of the guest dogs chewed up one of his plastic planters. He is also on top of making sure the play doesn't get out of hand. The pack really responds positively to him. He has rigged something akin to the dog parks where there are double entry points to bring dogs in and out of his home...so the pack can't get out while bringing guest dogs in and out. He sent pictures of Mae playing with two other guest dogs. Mae is actually a little glum today - she is an only dog and I think she really misses her playmates. Thank you for taking such great care of our girl!!! (Collapse)
We boarded two of our dogs with Noel for a couple of days to attend my daughter’s wedding. I was a bit apprehensive because our eleven year old mix has never been boarded and I knew he would not handle your typical boarding well. Noel’s is anything but. This is his home and he truly cares for these dogs. He is a dog lover at heart. Wilson spent his time playing freely in Noel’s back yard with our younger lab mix and Noel’s other dogs. He sent me pictures of both my boys enjoying the company of other dogs and having a great time, which really put my mind at ease, yet he was honest enough to tell me Wilson’s appetite was a bit lacking. Not to worry, old Wilson got his appetite back as soon as he got home. I would not hesitate to recommend Noel’s place to friends or family. We will definitely be using his services again. Thank you! We left our dogs Lafitte and Celia with Mr Noel for 2 weeks and they seemed to love it there! We've been getting pictures of them being spoiled - playing at the backyard and sleeping on the sofa! They got back pretty tired and slept the whole day! Mr Noel loves dogs and takes great care of them!

I was so happy Noel agrred to watch Bobby on such a short notice! Dropped Bobby on Friday and by the time I got home, Noel sent me pictures of Bobby bonding with other dogs in backyard. No questions Noel is the right person to leave your dog with but what is also important - he understands owners love for their dogs and send reports with pictures even when it's just few days! Bobby definitely had a great time, exercising a lot, was sleeping like a pup when we got home. Thank you Noel! (Collapse)
I would give a million stars to Stafford Dog Boarding if i could!! Grandpa Noel's home is loving, safe and gives me such a peace of mind when i have to leave Lucy to go out of town. Some times i just take Lucy there for a night or two because she LOVES it soo much. "Grandpa Noel" cares for each and every one of the dogs that are under his watchful eye. He has a special way with dogs and they all just adore him. I definitely make the right choice taking Lucy to Stafford Dog Boarding every time!!! Never have i had one problem. Grandpa Noel really does care for the dogs as if they were his own. Best Dog sitter AND person...Lucy and myself are so fortunate to have his service AND he is soooo flexible. It is amazing what he does and the time he spends caring and watching over each dog. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!! Love, Lucy, Nicole and Adora :) (Collapse)

As I am new to Rover, I located Grandpa Noel because of his feedback. Oh boy, was his feedback great and true. I dropped Mario off and normally I would be afraid because I never know if someone will treat Mario right. Well, with the picture updates I received on the daily, I knew Mario was in the right hands. I wouldn't hesitate you refer others to him. I'm using Grandpa Noel on the next stays in the matter of weeks. Thank you Rover.com and Grandpa Noel (Collapse)

Trying Rover.com for the first time, I was very impressed with the service. Stafford Dog Boarding was extremely accommodating, even to last minute requests.
February 13
I think it's the best place I could find for Bobby, he found home away from home. Noel sent me pictures with reports almost every day and by the pictures it was clear that Bobby had the best time in his life playing with the dogs in the backyard and relaxing on the sofa inside. Noel definitely knows the way around dogs and they love him, I wish I found this place earlier!!!

Noel has a great compassion for animals and people. He has taken care of many animals and still continues to help care of the homeless ones. He is a great pet sitter and pet trainer. Animals have always been attracted to him. I have trusted him with many pets in his care.

As Noel's wife I can tell you that I can see how much he loves dogs. We have owned dogs for the past 13 years together. I see him demonstrate love, patience, kindness, discipline and dedication toward all of his pets and the pets he cares for! You will feel satisfied with his services! We are always excited to meet dog owners and their pets!

I was very pleased with the excellent service that Noel provided and how well he took care of my two babies Niko and Lyla. I felt like I was at home and so did my dogs when we briefly visited his home just before Thanksgiving. I would highly recommend Rover.com and Noel Singletary as the sitter for your beloved animals.

Noel is a dog lover. Every dog that Noel takes care of in his home is treated as if they were one of Noel,s own dogs. I have known Noel for 15 years and he loves animals. He plays with the dogs and has things set up in his back yard that the dogs can play on. The dogs get good care while they stay at Noel,s home.
