Feel confident while you're away

I'm an animal lover that would love to take care of your dog while you are away. I know that sometimes it can be difficult to travel if you don't have someone trusting to take care of your precious pet. If you need someone to watch your dog over the weekend, I live very close to the Silverlake reservoir and can take your dog on multiple walks there or even around my quiet neighborhood. Though my apartment is relatively small (about 700 sq feet), I think it's roomy enough for a small to medium sized dog or an older, more sedate big dog. I've had dogs all my life and while I don't have any formal dog training, I feel confident in my handling abilities. While I love dogs, I'm not the coddling, spoiling type and set boundaries with them. I love seeing them be dogs, and not accessories. I used to prepare my dog's food by cooking actual meat and mixing it into his kibble, but I will follow whatever food instructions you provide. I've always loved animals. I've had birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, salamanders, hamsters and dogs over the years though currently I am pet-less. I'm a preschool teacher that works in Koreatown, but I live in Silverlake and my apartment is really close to the reservoir where I sometimes go jogging. There's a great dog park over there that is a good walk away. I'm not going to list a long bio, but the gist of it is I'm a trustworthy, responsible person that would take really good care of your pet while you're away. Since I was old enough to know what a dog was. I've had 2 dogs in my childhood and 1 in my adult life.

Are they housebroken? It's pretty important since my apartment has hardwood floors. No particular breed preferences though I do love German Spitzes and American Eskimos!

Fenced in. Concrete. Dog would not stay outside unsupervised, though, as it is a shared space with my neighbors.

Inside

Either around the neighborhood or around the Silverlake reservoir. I go hiking, too, around Griffith Park or Topanga Canyon, so with your permission, I can also take him/her there. The neighborhood is quiet, and I would not be walking mainly on busy, polluted roads.
