About Michelle M.

Information Michelle M. would like to know about your pet

If they have any health or behavorial issues that require extra attention. I have recently cared for a service dog that I was expected to handle according to the training. So, I just want to know anything that the owner feels is important for me to know. Like for example, perhaps their dog is a little shy with strangers & may not want to be picked up or hugged. This is something I must know prior to caring for the animal. My favorite breeds are huskies, akitas, french bulldogs, pugs, boxers...Oh...the list goes on...haha...I do love all breeds. I plan on someday owning a Klee Kai (a mini husky).

Experienced Animal Care Tech

Pet care experience

I have professional experience as an animal care tech working in kennels caring for all breeds of canines & felines. I have experience as an owner of a variety of animals including fish, rodents, reptiles, birds & other exotics. I am flexible with my time. I treat every pet as if they were my own. I can administer medication as needed. I have a particularly unique skill with pets that have social issues such as shyness, separation anxiety etc. I have the ability to work with pets that have special training as well. I am a student of psychology & want to eventually get into Animal Behavior. I have also acquired skills from working with groomers. From my experience working in boarding facilities or kennels, I know how animals can behave differently when put somewhere away from their owners. I am more than willing to reduce a pet's anxiety by coming to their home to play. Animals are so much happier & content when they get to remain in their own environment. I have 2 cat children, Shadow (aka Pnut) & Shmokey. I have a bearded dragon lizard named Scratchy. Pnut is my best friend. There are also photos of some of the doggies I have taken care of. They are my buddies now too. If you have any other pets besides dogs, I can care for them as well. My rates are as follows: I will come to your home to care for your pets $30/ per overnight stay. This is the rate for each dog in my care. $15/ special handling fee (ask me & I will clarify this) Dog Walking: $8/per 30 minute walk; $15/per 60 minute walk Checkups & Visits: $15 per visit Exotic Pets: This is based on the type of care the exotic pet requires Dog Grooming: Bath & Brush; $25/per dog (I do not bathe cats) $10 Surcharge for Booking Depending on the details of the services requested, additional charges may apply. References can be provided upon request. I hope that pet owners out there will allow me to offer my services. I look forward to making many new friends, both human & animal alike. Thank you.

Michelle took care of our two dogs in our home over the weekend while we were out of town. She was attentive and went above and beyond her responsibilities. We came home to two happy (and clean!) pooches, a cd full of photos that Michelle took over the weekend, and a lovely note with her comments/advice from her stay. We have had a rough time finding a reliable sitter in San Diego and are so thankful we found Michelle! She did a wonderful job and we will definitely be calling her again. Thanks again Michelle!

Michelle watches my dog Neela (a beautiful pittie) on a regular basis. I feel more comfortable going out of town more often because I have someone reliable and someone I can trust with my dog and home while I am gone. Michelle sends me regular updates and pictures of my doggy. When I come home she is happy and I am provided with a daily play by play of what Neela did. This is the first person I have ever trusted with my dog and now I get to enjoy my love of travel because of Michelle's services. Oh and she is studying animals in college so that makes me me more confident of her skills and she will follow any special requests or training your dog has been through.
