Pet care experience
My friendly staff of two playful pooches will welcome your dog into our spacious backyard with something for everyone. Ample shade, lots of running room and a couple of ungroomed spots for curious outdoor explorers. There are also several sheltered spots for bad weather. There is a doggie door for free access to indoors. Plenty of easy chairs, dog bed space and nooks and crannies allows everyone to find their cozy spot. I can certainly accomodate (and recommend) crates, blankets or any other comfort items your buddy likes to sleep with. Overnight stays include a trip to one of several off-leash areas, usually Magnuson park for 1.5-2 hours. Requests for a favorite park or shorter, neighborhood jaunts will be accomodated to the best of my ability. About this sitter: Single dad who left the medical lab to care for my daughter. My current goal is to rejoin the working world while still being a big part of her life. We both love dogs and playing outdoors. Now if I could just get her to help with the clean-up... :) Why I love dog sitting My childhood was filled with lots of great dogs. As an adult, the day I bought a house, I looked for one, then a second companion. I love the energy, laughs and compassion that dogs bring to a home. As the father of a 3 year old, I am so proud to see my daughter showing the same love for our furry family. About my yard Fully fenced, spacious yard has a variety of appeal for whatever your dog loves. A side run and open grassy area provide lots of running room (that is, if Rover still feels like running after our daily park visits). There are lots of shady spots and toys available (agility obstacles coming soon!) I also leave two corners of the yard slightly overgrown for outdoor explorers.

Information Michael H. would like to know about your pet
Let's chat about likes/dislikes. The more I can learn about what makes your dog smile, the better. I strive to provide a friendship/family experience; rather than just a spot to sleep and eat. Space/food aggression, anxiety issues with kids/crowds/off-leash parks can generally be accomodated. Share your concerns and we'll work together to address them.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks Daily trips to a nearby off-leash areas (usually Magnuson Park) are generally 1.5 to 2 hours long. For variety, we will sometimes visit Northacres (smaller/shady) or Edmonds (beach). I will accommodate requests as best as I can for extra or shorter neighborhood walks, or if Rover has a favorite place. Just let me know! Your dog's sleeping arrangement Just about anywhere Rover wants. Cushy furniture and soft bedding are scattered throughout the house, and a doggie door offers deck/yard snoozing. If you would prefer to bring your own bedding or blanket, I will work with Rover to find a happy nook/cranny. Time I'll spend with your dog Daily walks and home play time allow me to interact with all of the dogs in my house for several hours every day. As much as possible, I try to accommodate Rover's typical schedule. It is important to me that they feel "at home" and engaged as much as possible. I do have part-time work that takes me out of the house for 6-7 hours at a stretch.
