Currently have 2 dogs - one is 5 years old and one is 1 1/2 years old. Both are female, and both get along with other dogs. I work from home, so can accommodate up to 2 dogs in addition to mine. Our dogs are part of our family, they don't get left in the yard, and they don't live outside.
