Safety, trust & environment

As a house sitter, I take the care and safety of your home very seriously, and will give the utmost respect to your preferences and privacy. Doors will be locked, mail and packages brought in, plants watered on request, trash taken out, and lights left on/off at your discretion. If you have a special request, please ask!

Information Lisa G. would like to know about your pet

Please be as specific and thorough as you can in any instructions regarding medications and timelines. I will also err on the side of caution when walking your dog and do my best to avoid others, but do please advise in advance if your dog is unfriendly toward or frightened by other people and animals. This will help me discern walking routes and how I can best support your pup!

A typical day

I love exploring new neighborhoods and parks, so your dog will promptly be promoted to Puppy Guide & Companion. Let me know if you have a big enough back yard, because I WILL bring my frisbee. Your dog will have access to unlimited belly rubs and will also be challenged to at least one round of tug-of-war, best two out of three (or more, if there's an upset and your dog actually wins).

Pet care experience

I'm Lisa and I've been in Dallas for a year now! My home town is St. Louis, where I was one of the top Rover sitters in the early 2010s before moving overseas. I'm returning to it now after moving back to the States to help offset some costs of living (and because I miss being around animals so very much). I live in Addison and work at SMU down in the Park Cities area, and I can't wait to dote on your beloved pets and furry friends! I grew up surrounded by animals. My family adopted/cared for 9 different dogs (not all at once, sadly), as well as a couple birds, a hamster, LOTS of fish, and one cat. Dogs really are extended family and I give them plenty of love and affection and energy. Every dog is different and you know yours better than anyone; I will give careful attention to any and all special requests you have and will make sure your dog is comfortable, happy, and safe. I work at an office during the day, but am free to stay with or check up on your precious pup as often and as long as needed. I'm the perfect option if you're going to be traveling for any length of time. I enjoy taking walks and entertaining energetic dogs, and am incredibly patient with cats who aren't accustomed to strangers. I'm very big on transparency and communication and am happy to send as many updates and photos as you would like. Please don't hesitate to send any and all questions my way. I look forward to hearing from you!

This was the second time we booked Lisa to watch our pups. She's wonderful. We have the peace of mind that someone cares for our pups the way that we do, allowing us to actually enjoy our vacation. If Lisa was available every time we went out of town, we'd book her.

Lisa was amazing with our pups. She came over to our house to meet them both and asked a bunch of questions just to make sure she was going to meet the needs of both dogs. We left for vacation without a worry. She went above and beyond with our dogs...one specifically is high maintenance and in her own words "acts like a whiny teenager when you ask her to do something she doesn't feel like". We have another trip coming up and hope our "teenager" behaved well enough that she'll come back.

Lisa helped us out on short-notice and was a life-saver! She is very polite and thorough and was great with Tigger. Our old lab definitely didn't want her to leave. He's a nightmare on the leash too, but Lisa was a champ - no small feat getting him his daily walk! Thanks, Lisa!!
