I'm a lover of all animals, and have had pets since I was a small child. I currently own one very handsome cat, but my landlord does not allow dogs. Hence, I am perpetually suffering from dog envy. I'm one of those people that most animals love right away, especially dogs. I did start my own pet sitting and dog walking business when I was just 13 years old, in the neighborhood where I grew up, and have been pet sitting and house sitting ever since. It helped finance my college education. I am currently employed as a dog walker in Brooklyn.

I got my first dog when I was five. He was a boxer named Alex. My second dog was a pit bull mix that I rescued from a shelter named Rumi. At the age of 13, I started my own pet sitting business in my neighborhood. Word of mouth spread quickly, and I continued pet sitting and house sitting all the way through high school, in addition to other jobs, and my earnings helped pay for my college education. I've looked after households with one dog to houses with a virtual menagerie of animals: ferrets, rats, dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, turtles, chinchillas, birds, and probably a few species I'm leaving out. Basically, I LOVE animals and they seem to love me right back. I currently own just one cat, as my landlord does not allow other pets.

I pretty much love all breeds. The things I'd like to know about a dog before sitting it, would be its general temperament, if it was aggressive to people, kids, or other animals, if it had any dietary needs or medical treatments I'd need to administer, if there are any household rules for it that I should adhere to, and how often and at what times the dog is usually fed and walked.

Yes. I can always call a car service if necessary. I also sometimes have my own car in the city.

Yes. I have administered all sorts of medicine to cats, dogs, and other animals. I am also comfortable with brushing teeth.

I have no problem doing other small tasks around the house while you are away.

My primary work is as a freelance editor and I also am a photographer, so my schedule is very flexible. I can often work from home, so I would have no problem spending time at your home keeping your animal company, provided there is an available internet connection.
