Stoopsitting and Dog Park Outings

I have two very friendly Pugs (who are not at all shy nor intimidated by other dogs and seem to think they are the size of Mastiffs) and we live in the doggie Heaven that is otherwise known as Glover Park (N. Georgetown). My apartment is a large one bedroom in a very small, dog friendly building. My front yard is literally Glover Archibold Park, and has great trails that dogs love to explore.

I've come to know a lot of dogs in the neighborhood and their owners and am regularly minding them when Mommy & Daddy skip town. I just learned of this site and thought I'd extend the offer to some new pups. Size is not an issue, but I do ask that your dog be well socialized, well behaved (not into eating furniture and/or shoes), not an excessive barker and potty trained. In good weather, we'll sit on the front stoop and mingle with the dogs walking by, take trips to the dog park for a game of fetch or tug of war. Come bedtime, we'll all pile on the bed and hopefully pass out from all of the day's activity. My motto is "A tired dog is a happy dog."

Please note: I'm available for a maximum of 5 nights at a time; I will make exceptions to this on a case by case basis, but will raise the fee to $50 for each additional night.

I have two rescued Pugs whom I adore. We've become great friends with many of the dogs on the street in the last few years (and their owners).

I have a very reliable car.

I am comfortable administering medication, assuming the dog is at least semi-comfortable receiving it.

I am away from home M-F for 7 hours, but am otherwise a homebody.

We have a large stretch of grass behind the building, and my apartment faces Glover Archibald Park, which has trails that we can take walks on.

In my bed if he/she likes. Otherwise, I can make them a bed on the floor.

On the park trails, on the neighboring streets. We'll likely go the dog park every afternoon, weather permitting.
