Kayla P. - Your pet's best interest at heart

I have grown up with animals (dogs, cats, horses, goats, and chickens) my entire life. I worked in dog daycare for two years dealing with all breeds and personalities. I have reliable transportation. I am flexible to your desires. The safety, well being, and happiness of your pet is my main concern.

I showed my dog, Molly, in 4-H obedience for 3 years. The first two years we competed at the county level, on the third year we made it to state. Molly and I competed at the Ohio State fair the third year I showed her, where she did well. She did not enjoy the large crowed or the atmosphere so I did not continue to compete with her in obedience. After this point in my life I decided to work for a dog daycare company. The first dog daycare companies I worked for was also a training facility where I picked up many more obedience training techniques. I have taken these techniques and worked on obedience training with my dog Chunk as well as several of my friends' dogs. Two years of experience working in dog daycare has also trained me in basic pet first aid.

I have watched the Red Cross's Pet First Aid instructional video to ensure I am able to take care of any animal in an emergency situation. I also keep a copy of the book "The First Aid Companion for Dogs and Cats" in my car so I always have a resource with me if an animal need first aid.

I have loved dogs my entire life. As a child I grew up with dogs, my favorite being Molly. She used to walk me to elementary school. She was the neighborhood dog. When she passed everyone who knew her felt her absence. Today, I have my own dog Chunk who I rescued.

Before I pet sit any animal I would like to know how old they are, what, if any, medical issues they have, and their favorite activity they like to do to. I have no breed preferences.

I have reliable transportation.

With all my experience dealing with animals I have never had an issue giving an animal medication. There are different ways animals like to take medicine and I am willing to do whatever way they prefer.

If there are additional tasks you would like for me to do while you are away I am more than happy to do them for you.

I will spend as much time as you would like with your pet. Due to my own schedule, I may request to bring your pet with me if you require extra time spent with him or her. I plan to give your pet a minimum of an hour exercise each visit.
