Katie S. - Dog Lover To The Rescue!

Hi! My name is Katie. I am 29 years old and recently completed my MBA at UC Davis. My undergraduate degree is in Animal Science and Management, also from UCD. I LOVE dogs, all breeds, shapes and sizes but am particularly fond of Frenchies! I have had my own dog before but unfortunately I cannot have a dog where I am currently living so I love opportunities to dog-sit. I have extensive experience with operant behavioral training and clicker training and would be happy to spend time working with your pups. I am also happy to dog-walk (or run) if your pup needs some exercise! Rate depends on distance traveled and services requested.

I have been a dog lover for as long as I can remember. Growing up I never had dogs (so sad!) because both my mom and my brother are very allergic to anything with fur. Nonetheless, I probably asked for a dog for Christmas and my birthday every year until I went to college. While in college I adopted a puppy named Layla. She was a wonderful dog.

I love all dogs and am a firm believer in nurture over nature. I would of course like to know of any medical or dietary issues in advance so that I can be prepared in the event of an emergency.

Yes. During my time volunteering at the Humane Society I regularly administered medication to dogs and cats. I also did this during my animal behavior internship in college.

As much as possible! Love taking dogs with me everywhere I go if they are amenable to it.
