Katie H. - Loving Sitter for Overnight Stays

I am available for sitting during days or over nights. I have over 5 years of dog sitting/walking experience and a little experience with basic dog training. I am currently enrolled in PIMA to get my veterinary technician's license and then hopefully go on to veterinary school.

I have owned dogs and cats all my life. Currently I have a yellow lab/hound/great pyrenees mix that I adopted from ......... I was her 5th family before she was 10 months old. She is very sweet and has no concept of personal space (she thinks shes a lap dog). But she is well adjusted and it so lovable.

I love dogs and will sit for dogs of all ages (puppies to geriatric dogs).

Currently work in a veterinary hospital as a veterinary clinic. Have done hydrotherapy with geriatric dogs as well as some light physical therapy. Housesit/dogsit overnight for many friends and family.

I have loved dogs all my life. When I go to veterinary school it will be really hard to live with out a dog. I have owned at least one dog my whole life and love snuggling with them and going on walks and jogs. One of my favorite things about owning a dog is going to the dog park and watching dogs play together. I could watch it for hours; I find it so interesting.

Before sitting a dog I would need to know if all their vaccinations are up to date, how they behavior with other dogs, cat, people, kids etc. Any other medical conditions the dog has and the house rules if it is an overnight situation. I would also like to know if the dog has any behavior issues or if the dog has bitten anyone or tried to. I don't have any breed or age restrictions.

For the most part, I have reliable transportation. If I am housesitting I will definitely have reliable transportation.

Yes. I am a working veterinary assistant currently and enrolled in school to get my technician's license. I am also applying to veterinary school...So I am very comfortable administering medication (orally, injections, ear flushing, etc).

I will spend as much time as I can. Mondays are my hardest days seeing as how I leave the house at 7am and dont get back until 5 or 515 with class and work. Other than Monday, most days I am able to come back and spend part of the afternoon with the dog(s). I always make time for at least 3 walks a day if I dont have work. At least one of the walks is either an extra long walk or a jog/run depending on your dog(s) exercise/energetic needs.
