My current dog is Charlotte, whom I rescued from the shelter where I volunteered. Charlotte seems to be a pure-bred Shih Tzu who is happy, happy, happy. She adds so much to my life just by being my little buddy. Before Charlotte, I rescued Emma. She was an 8-year-long puppy mill survivor, a beautiful, gentle Pomeranian girl who only asked for quiet, consistency and kindness. I was happy to be her "mama" for the last four years of her life.
