My name is Kaela, and I'm a young adult who's been working directly with dogs since childhood in both professional and personal environments. I am an experienced dog trainer, and handle three large dogs - a Pit Bull, a Golden Retriever, and a German Shepherd Dog. I am familiar and experienced with behavior modification, basic and advanced obedience training, and training for some canine sports and canine jobs, such as agility, flyball, tracking, search and rescue, therapy and service work. I use only positive reinforcement methods while working with dogs. I've been volunteering with the City of Sacramento Animal Care Services for over five years working directly with the dogs in a kennel environment, exercising, training, and playing with the dogs to help relieve the stress of living in a shelter. I've also administered subcutaneous and intranasal vaccinations to well over 50 dogs and cats, and have administered subcutaneous fluids to sick puppies. I am comfortable with all breeds of dogs as well as most other species of animals. I am familiar with a lot of species of pets, including cats, horses, small mammals including, but not limited too, rats, rabbits, chinchillas, guinea pigs... I'm comfortable caring for an animal I've never cared for before and will research the creature extensively before taking the job to ensure that I'm properly caring for the animal, as well as follow any suggestions or rules you give me. I have been hired as a dog sitter in the clients home multiple times, and have references available upon request. I follow the instruction of the owner strictly, even if I feel I don't agree with them. It's your pet, and I can and will closely follow instruction and rules.
