Your Doggie in my Window

Pet care experience

As an experienced pet-sitter I look forward to meeting new clients and offering services in my home. Please note that I'm not equipped or trained to deal with aggressive dogs, and although Rover doesn't have a preference selection in this size category I prefer dogs who are under 50lbs although I can be counted on to make an exception if your dog is housebroken, well behaved, walks well on a leash, and doesn't try to knock me over on the way to the backyard. I require a meet and greet for all new clients and would be happy to schedule one with you and your pet any time. At my home your well behaved pet will enjoy numerous daily walks and a great view of an active neighborhood from my living room window (there are always people and dogs walking by in the warmer weather). I have no children or pets of my own so if your dog requires "only child" status AND I have no other bookings at the time you contact me, I can accommodate your request and adjust the fee to $60/overnight. Please note: I will always tell you if other clients are scheduled for any dates you're requesting so that we can discuss size and personalities before finalizing any arrangements. My yard is fenced but I always supervise outdoor visits. About Janet W. My own dog passed in 2007 after 15 years so now I look forward to meeting many dogs from many wonderful homes. When I'm not sitting for dogs I sometimes have other work that takes me away from the house for 4 hours at a time. Currently I have numerous repeat Rover clients who board at my house on a semi-regular basis, as well as clients who only book once or twice a year. I'm available for drop-in visits at your house and dog walking within 1 - 2 miles of the 11 Mile and Campbell area. Please let me know how I might assist you and your dog. My experience administering medication I'm able to give your dog pills (orally) if they aren't aggressive, and I've administered doggie insulin shots.

Janet did a wonderful job taking care of our dog. When we went for our meet and greet she sat down with me and asked me lots of questions about my dog and his schedule. I was very impressed with how organized she was. She kept me updated and sent pictures while we were away and I could tell that our dog was happy and well cared for. I was able to completely relax and enjoy my vacation because I knew our dog was being well cared for. We also had to pick our dog up an hour late due to a flight delay and Janet was very flexible. I am so lucky that we found her!

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks Your dog will walk approximately a mile on each outing around my neighborhood. We'll go through several parks and I'll try to vary our path from day to day. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Your dog will sleep in a bed or crate that you provide, or if your dog is used to snuggling with you at night, I will move my sleeping space to the living room. Time I'll spend with your dog I will try to approximate your routine with your dog; feeding times, walking times, and play times. My schedule varies so I will always discuss this with you in detail so you can decide if we're a good fit for the dates you need service.
