About this sitter: I am a licensed vet tech so if anything out of the ordinary happens, I've probably seen or heard of it before and know how to handle it. I enjoy doing things that help other organizations or just a certain person in general and that's why I've decided to join Rover.com. I absolutely love animals big or small. I've also owned quit a few exotics before. I however currently own a rex rabbit and a chinese water dragon so if you're having trouble trying to find someone to feed a mouse to a ball python then I'm your man, or woman, as is the case. I consider meeting a new animal like meeting a new person, you never know who you might end up being best friends with. I keep a small mini rabbit cage on hand too if anyone needs one of those or needs to borrow it while pet sitting, I am trying to get rid of it so ask fast!

Well as I've stated before I'm a licensed vet technician (basically the equivalent of an RN just under paid) When I was younger my parents decided to get us a dog (Jasper is the black and white one shown in the pics) and as soon as I saw him I fell madly in love. There are some people you meet and you just don't like and others you can't figure out why you like them? well that was Jasper (the latter of course) I felt a bond with him like I've never felt with anybody. It was because of him that I wanted to pursue something in the pet care field, I just wasn't sure what it was yet. I called literally every pet related place in the phone book and only two were hiring and would take someone underage. The first place was a bust but I worked at the kennel for over a year and a half and I loved it. It gave me a chance to read the animals feelings, to know when their sad or in pain. After that I started work at a veterinary clinic and just started school to get my degree in applied science I was so happy! AFter the first clinic I was at I went through a couple of them and the one thing I learned is that everyone does things differently and you have to kind of find your own way of doing things. No one will take better care of your pets than I will. They have no voice so how can they tell you how their day went? Well I always just make sure it goes spectacularly!

I would like to know the home routine, if hes not allowed on the couch at home hes not allowed on the couch at mine. If I am watching him/her at my house I would prefer to have them crate trained and for you to bring your own crate but if not thats not a big issue They have to be ok with other dogs otherwise I cant do it. I have no breed or age restrictions. I can take sick, diabetic, or handicapped animals, they don't bother me If they are on a special food BRING IT. You are solely responsible for bring your dogs own food, food bowls, toys and blankets. I have a few spare ones but I only use them in case of emergency. IT is always better for all involved for the dog to stay in its own environment so there is no shuffling around getting things ready and not making sure we are missing anything and getting the dog all riled up. If you have any special plans,etc for the animal please write them down on a note i am a busy woman and will not be able to remember everything.
A typical day
Time I'll spend with your dog As much time as possible. Well all the time really, but certain dogs (like the geriatrics) don't need as much exercise and puppies need more playtime so it varies on age and temperament but I will get down and play with them, the joy on their face when they are getting attention from you AND your playing with them is priceless. The main purpose I would be there is to take care of your dog so they would be my first priority. Extra house-sitting services I would have absolutely no problem doing anything extra around the house as long as a list is made out so I can keep track of everything at an additional cost.

Pet care experience
Make sure to bring all of your pets things including any type of bedding, toys, food bowls, food,etc If your pet is crate trained make sure to bring crate and a list of tricks that should be worked on. I have other animals in the house (lab mix, lizard rabbit) so if you animal is animal aggressive please let me know in advance and I will make special arrangements to prevent them from running into each other. I will make sure your dog is walked atleast once a day, if not twice and will be played with as often as possible. We have a closed in fence so he/she is allowed to roam around the back yard at leisure. We have a baby pool for Jasper so if your dog likes water he is more than welcome to try it out! IF you have any questions please dont hesitate to ask!

I have known Felicia for a little over two years; we went to school together and graduated from Brown Mackie College. We studied the Veterinary Technician program together. Felicia is a very intelligent young lady. She shows great compassion towards animals, you need to really love animals to be in this profession and she does. Felicia is also compassionate towards others; she would help anyone without a second thought. She has quite a personality too, very funny.
