My 3 year old dachshund/retriever mix, Lucy, is the real professional, though -- she's a perfect playmate for humans and dogs alike for wrestling, cuddling on the couch, and sharing toys. Together, we live on the 4th floor of a walkup in Park Slope. I work as a legal specialist in Midtown during the week and as a petsitter during evenings and weekends. About this sitter: Erin is a former professional dog-walker, with plenty of experience visiting and taking care of pets in their own homes. She is also a certified Pet CPR and First Aid instructor (ask her about taking her course!). Erin and her dog Lucy are a great team providing plenty of exercise, play, and relaxing. Why I love dog sitting: I've always been a dog lover -- animal lover, really. I grew up on a small hobby farm with dogs, cats, ponies, goats, and cockatiels. As an adult, I've owned both dogs and cats, and have done sitting for dogs, cats, and birds. I volunteer for an animal rescue group in NY, Ruff House Rescue, for whom I foster dogs and complete home visits for people applying to adopt a Ruff House pet. I'm also an occasional volunteer dogwalker with Sean Casey Animal Rescue.
