About Erin M.:

From St. Francis the patron St. of animals.....
"“Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love,
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy."

Hi. My name is Erin and I have been working with all types of animals since the age of 15. I am a former US Army veterinary technician and have traveled the world working with different types of animals including exotic predators in Africa and Thailand. My friends and family refer to me as the "St Francis of Assisi" in the family. I am just happy to be blessed with a gift for animals. I treat all of my clients as VIPs. :)

I am currently finishing my first bachelor's degree and just relocated to the Atlanta area from the University of Michigan. As a former veterinary technician I am medically qualified to deal with dogs that have any sort of issue whether it is medical or behavioral. I have worked a lot with K-9 and large breeds of dog (I love Shepherds). I am willing to travel to meet your needs. I can provide excellent referances. You can leave with piece of mind knowing that your home and family member will be in excellent hands. Age, size, breed, behavioral issue, medical issues, dont matter. I have never met a dog I dont like or that doesnt like me. I believe you just need to take time to understand them. I am looking forward to meeting your family member and your needs so you can have a peaceful vacation ! Have a great day!

Have other pets no problem !! Cats, rodents, lizards, reptiles, birds or fish. Rates are as follows 20.00 per each visit to the home (not spending the night), 2.00 for each additional animal. The rate covers fluid administration (if needed), oral medication administration (if needed), walks, playtime, and anything else you can think that your special animal may need.

Over night stays of 100 per night break down to about $7.72 cents an hour for piece of mind for your house and your family member (s). It is a flat rate and you will only be charged additionally for any extra animals that are not K9 being taken care of.... For extended vacations rate is negotiable.

I def. want to just fulfill needs and I love, love, love animals. If you need something we can always negotiate.

PLEASE NOTE ******* 100.00 PER NIGHT FLAT RATE, # of dogs does not matter the only additional charges may come when you are ADDING ADDITIONAL animals not dogs. THE QUOTE YOU WILL GET FROM ROVER.COM IS INCORRECT AND I AM WORKING ON GETTING IT FIXED as they charge per night and per dog. :( SORRY IT WILL BE RESOLVED SOON....... LAST MINUTE PET SITTING OK :)

How long have you been a dog lover? Tell us about your history with dogs.

My history with dogs began at a young age during the time which my family had a labrador retriever. I started to work in a kennel at a veterinary office at the age of eighteen and in order to get the job I had to draw blood on a dog. I passed the test. At the age of 21 I enlisted in the United States Army as a veterinary technician where my first two years in the military I was stationed in Germany responsible for over-seeing medical care for military working dogs both in Germany and deployed over seas. I have extensive experience with large breeds of dog and am trained to be a decoy for bite training. My experience in Germany was mostly with military working dogs, but also with privately owned animals of all sorts. I saw different breeds of dogs daily in clinic for vaccinations, routine check-ups, health certificates, nail trims ect. I was responsible for helping train the first Iraqi police company in medical care for K-9. I have continued to work with dogs through out my life and understand training and operant conditioning techniques. IE clicker training. So if you are working on potty training your pooch or other behavioral issues I have no problem continuing your work. I have no problem administering medications or dealing with a variety of health issues. I believe that your dog is your family member and while you are gone you can rest assured they will recieve the most top notch of care, love, and affection.

What would you like to know about a dog before sitting him or her? Do you have any breed preferences?

Age, breed, weight, behavioral issues, medical issues all present no problems for me. I look forward to just meeting your family member and your needs while you are away. I have never met a dog that I couldnt get along with or that didnt like me. I believe all dogs have unique personalities and needs that need to be understood. I would prefer that you can prove to me that your dog is up to date on vaccinations and flea free.

Do you have reliable transportation in the event of an emergency?

Yes. I drive a very reliable car and have no problems in the event of a veterinary emergency should one arise I assure you being a former veterinary technician your dog is in capable hands.

Are you comfortable administering medication?

Yes this is not a problem whether it is orally or through injection. I am qualified to do both.

Are you willing to do additional tasks at my home while I'm away
(e.g., water plants, bring in the mail)?

My fee covers plant watering, taking care of the house, and bringing in the mail. It is negotiable if you will be leaving for an extended period of time. I want you to know that not only will your family member be given excellent care, but your home will as well. I can provide excellent referances.

How much time do you plan on spending with my dog each day?

This is really depending on what you feel that your dog needs since you know your dog best I am open to discussing your needs and meeting them to the best of my ability. I assure you that my fee covers quality time with lots of love and affection, treats, walks, ect.

I had to find a different pet-sitter situation because my dog is getting older, has some health issues and I really prefer he stay at home now when I have to travel out of town. Erin was extremely accommodating. From the moment she met my dog during the meet & greet, it was very evident she has a genuine love and affinity for animals. My dog warmed up to her immediately. She was receptive to all the information and instructions I provided her about my dog and home. While I was away she sent me status updates and pictures of my dog. Upon my return, my dog was content and relaxed because she took great care of him, kept him in his routine, but also played with him and gave him regular exercise. Erin was a wonderful sitter!
