Hi friends! I am a registered veterinary nurse and emergency and specialty hospital manager looking to help folks out with their pet sitting needs. I have been working in a veterinary hospital for the last 15 years and LOVE animals!!! I graduated from the University of Montana with a degree in animal biology and moved to California to expand my horizons and continue my career in the veterinary field. I have experience with all kinds of animals and am open to sitting most species, breed, or temperament with the highest level of passion and care! I have experience with all types of medications and am comfortable with any special needs/requests! Dogs, cats, fish, birds, bugs etc! (Sorry no rabbits due to allergy). I am one of those people that have a special touch with animals and I absolutely love it when people see that in the way I interact with their love ones. When I was a baby our Airedale Terrier Zack would sleep under my crib and carry diapers around the house. I grew up with Airedales and almost everyone in my extended family has dogs. In college I managed my parents house and we had anywhere from 1-5 dogs staying with us at any time. My experience administering medication As registered veterinary technician I am comfortable with any medical needs. From giving one tablet to insulin injections up to blood transfusions.

Madie is an older dog that enjoys the comforts of home. Therefore, we wanted to find someone that that could stay with Madie. Erik stood out as a caring person that enjoys animals and someone that would respect our home, putting us at ease. Erik was excellent with Madie. We will be contacting Erik for any future stays.
This was our second experience with Erik and it was excellent, just as our first. During his stay, Erik made sure to keep in touch, sending us pictures and updates which we appreciated very much. There is nothing better than coming home from a trip and finding a very happy dog and a spotless house! I will continue to book Erik for future stays and hope to find him available.
Erik was awesome!! Mattie is a rescue and somewhat shy at first...It was a concern of mine, so Erik took the time to come and visit with twice prior to our trip, just to make sure Mattie was comfortable with him. She soon warmed up to him and eased my concern. While we were gone, Erik sent pictures and updates on how they were doing. Mattie looked happy, and was enjoying cuddling and playing with Erik. When we returned, our home was spotless! Vacuumed, dusted, everything in place...he was even thoughtful enough to put the laundry in washer on a delayed cycle, so it was ready to pop in the dryer when we go home. I highly recommend and trust Erik ...in fact I have already booked him for our next trip!

A typical day
Your dog's sleeping arrangement Most dogs or cats that stay with me get to sleep in bed with me if they wish!! :) Time I'll spend with your dog Dogs that stay with me get lots of love and attention. I spending at least 4 solid hours every day with dogs playing, walking, and cuddling. Time I'll spend with your dog I am happy to spend as much time as is needed/wanted with each pet. Of course I do have a full time job at the hospital so time is somewhat limited. Extra house-sitting services I am happy to to any additional tasks around the house while the owner/family is out.

I work full time at Sage Veterinary Centers in the bay area and would be working and helping with sitting at the same time. Your pet needs usually balance well with my full time schedule but let's talk!
