Emily J. - Calm College Student--Dog Walker/Sitter

Hi, I'm a student at Drexel University, located in West Philadelphia. I'm always missing my dog at home and would love to spend time pampering your puppy when you can't! Gentle and calm, I can cater to the needs of an older or sick dog, or can energetically entertain a rambunctious pup. I've had dogs all my life and have an experience with pet-sitting, and I'd be happy to walk or sit your pets while you're away. I'm available for sitting in your home only, as I live in university housing. Also, I prefer not to stay overnight but am willing to visit your house multiple times to take care of your dog. Rates vary depending on what your dog specifically needs or what you prefer.

I've had a dogs all my life along with cats and birds--I'm an all-around animal lover. I always helped my mom when I was growing up to pet-sit for people in and around my area so I'm comfortable with the business and with the experience.

Before sitting or walking a dog, I'd like to know if the owner has any preferences about where we go or what the dog likes to do, as well as if the dog has any special needs or needs medication, etc.

Though I do not have a car, I live in west Philadelphia and have a bike for transportation, as well as a good knowledge of the subway system.

With detailed instructions, I'm comfortable giving medication and am not squeamish in terms of the dirty work.

I would be happy to bring in your mail and newspaper, water plants, or take care of any other pets that you have.

I'd be happy to spend several hours with the dog every day depending on how much the dog needs and the owner's preferences. Being a college student, I am a bit busy, but I would be sure to only take jobs that I could absolutely handle and commit to--I'm no slacker!
